Crooked Cottage on Kildare Capes

Be one of the first to enjoy this completely renovated 1 bedroom cottage overlooking the majestic Kildare Capes and the Atlantic Ocean! Situated on 3 acres, enjoy the peace & quiet of PEI with the sounds of the ocean at your doorstep! Perfect for 2 people, the 'Crooked Cottage' has everything needed to simply relax and unwind! The covered porch is the perfect place to start your day and enjoy the sunrise, while the fire pit is the place to be if wanting to see a million stars!!

New for 2023 we have built a bunkie with two single beds and a porch to enjoy the sunrise or sit near the firepit and see the stars.

Situated between the towns of Alberton and Tignish we are minutes away from local amenities. A short drive along Highway 12 will take you past several working harbors where fresh seafood is readily available! Drive to the end of the island to see the North Cape lighthouse, enjoy dinner or simply relax and enjoy some of the most incredible sunsets in the world!

The property has been inspected & licensed by Tourism PEI(Licence # 2101283)!!

*Note No direct beach access from our property, but a short 5-minute drive will get you to the beautiful and private St. Felix beach.

Lovely little cottage
The cottage was a great place to stay and relax and unwind. Great ambience. It’s well provisioned for summer with lots of cookware, bedding, candles, bbq ietc. and is located on a lovely piece of property above the red sandstone cliffs. Other than challenging cell coverage (but good WiFi) it was a great place to stay.

The Crooked Cottage Experience
We were pleased with the Cottage, but it would have been better if it was a little bigger and they cleared the high grass and bushes at the water's edge of the property for a better view of the ocean etc. We had technical issues with my husbands phone so could not contact the owners or manager. Now if I had their email I could have used my laptop to contact all, so it isn't the property owners fault. We live in the country so we know how to take care of everything. Overall the Cottage was perfect for us, for what we needed to do in P.E.I.

Property and cottage has everything you need. Pretty ocean lookout spot is a bonus. Wifi and BBQ both worked well. Host was easy to reach and helpful. Looking forward to returning to the Crooked Cottage next time we're out east!!

A chilly week in Tignish
Very comfortable cottage perfect set up for our needs. We had a bad weather week so we could not enjoy the outside amenities of the cottage. We found plenty of interesting sights and activities to keep us busy. Enjoyed interacting with the locals who often seemed to become instant friends. Would definitely return!

Beautiful property. Very quiet on cliff overlooking the gulf. Clean and comfortable for a couple. We picked up our groceries in Summerside after crossing the bridge and were set for a week. Golf nearby and day trips with picnic are a must. Recommend driving north to the tip and walking the the 5K trial at the lighthouse. Would stay again and recommend.

Very private, comfortable cottage. The property is right on the water atop a rusty coloured cape., with birds and lots of bunnies in the grass. About 10 minutes to shopping and restaurants. Host is very prompt with messages.

The Crooked Cottage is a little peace of paradise on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The property is peaceful and the birds and few rabbits that show up are a part of that state. Ocean is just off in the distance with many beaches to visit close by the Cottage. The unscreened deck is a bonus feature to the property with lots of shade by mid morning. For the purpose of my visit, the Crooked Cottage was a fine place to stay.

A little piece of heaven
A very nice place to spend some time in quiet and nature, with the ocean at the bottom of the backyard! This small but mighty cottage was very well equipped and really lacked for nothing.. Only one quibble and maybe this will come in time but it would be great if that lovely porch was screened in. A great place to while away the time except for the mosquitoes. In the meantime, pack some insect repellent!

Gorgeous property, close to everything - covered porch and fireplace and great BBQ on-site make the experience that much better. Gorgeous views of fishing boats out on the ocean right from the porch. Walk out to the edge for a quick peek at the cliffs - you can’t get closer than this to the water, it’s amazing and such an affordable price. Has everything you need - book now and you will not regret!

Me, my sister and niece stayed four nights at the crooked cottage. It was the perfect location for us to visit our friends from PEI. We visited many beaches around the Kildare capes and north shore. Found some seaglass and reminisced about our sweet mom and dad that brought us there year after year as children. Highly recommend Crooked Cottage for your stay. We will definitely be back.
