Country living on a working farm

Welcome to life in the country! You'll find Coleman's Cozy Farm Cottage along a dirt road with an amazing hilltop view. There is a grill, picnic table, fire pit, pond, herb & vegetable garden, and more than 500 acres to explore. Your hosts are the only neighbors close enough to hear you yell, though we are screened by a stand of pines. These hills are home to all sorts of wildlife. It's a wonderful place to unplug, though for bad weather days we have wifi, tv, dvd player, games & books. With so many places to visit nearby, you'll never be bored. It's a beautiful drive to the Finger Lakes wineries. There are some wonderful local farm markets and stores who will provide your groceries & baked goods (just message me after you've booked for more info). Keuka Lake State Park, Letchworth State Park, and Watkins Glen State Park are all about an hour drive. The Steuben County snowmobile trail is right across the road, and Tall Pines ATV park is about 20 minutes away.
This charming old cottage (yes, that means tricky doors & windows, low ceilings and squeaky floors) has been welcoming our family & friends for almost 10 years of "time away from it all". The fully stocked kitchen includes a coffee bar to start your day right, with coffee from a local Finger Lakes company. While there is no dishwasher, the view from the sink is beautiful. The laundry is stocked too, cause if you're enjoying the country, you'll definitely need it! We love our farm life and would be honored to share it with you.

Awesome
The home was impeccably clean, and the host was available to answer any questions. They were very kind and offered suggestions for local attractions suitable for children. Staying at this home guarantees a comfortable experience, as it provides everything you need and more while you're away from home. I recommend bringing some cash if you plan to purchase local goodies.

My family and I, arrived late. With communication we arrange check-in. As soon as we arrived, we felt ad home and fell in love with the charm and views. It was perfect for the entire family traveling for the first time to this area. The stores are conveniently located. Overall, grea experience and recommend anyone to stay. Beds were comfy, and with cold weather the home was set and a comfortable temperature when we arrived. The views of the pawn and the back, just breathtaking and gorgeous. My nephew had to visit Alfred university, and it was conviently 30 mins away. We come from California, so the commute was not bad at all. Dawn was very communicative and any questions we had, she would answer. Definitely recommend.

Marathon weekend getaway
We booked this place for the Wineglass Marathon weekend. It is an easy drive to Corning and areas surrounding Keuka Lake (about 30 minutes driving). We travel with our 100 lb dog, and finding a place where he can roam safely is a must for us. The host, Dawn, was very kind and welcoming. The house is extremely clean, and the furniture is comfortable. We also really loved the well-stocked coffee station in the kitchen. The scenery is just beautiful. It was a wonderful place to relax. We loved this charming cottage and would definitely stay there again.

Adorable house & sweet owners!
Huge thank you to the Coleman family for making our stay so relaxing! The house was adorable and we felt right at home. Dawn even pointed me in the right direction to purchase a beautiful Amish quilt from a store up the road called Katie’s Mercantile. They were so nice, and opened the store just for me. We will be back!

4th of July get away
We were looking to get away for a nice quiet 4th of July w/our 2 dogs. And this was the perfect place. Located in the rolling hills of Steuben County is this beautiful farm house w/everything you need & then some. Dawn made us feel right at home. The house was spotless. She provided a cute coffee bar w/all the fixings. Full size spacious kitchen w/out door gas grill & fire pit. The furniture & beds were very comfortable. The linen and bedding were so soft & comfortable as well as the towels. Dawn & her family operate a farm so you can hear the cows and the horses are right across the street. Just adding to the country feel. The property does have a pond that our dogs swam in cooling them off. There are quaint little country stores for simple things you may have forgot that are considerably close by. Overall I would highly recommend staying here.

Country Charm!
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Cozy Coleman Cottage. It is in a beautiful and quiet country setting. We loved visiting the local Amish store and driving the “back roads”. The house is roomy, adorably furnished and decorated, comfortable, clean and well stocked. We had everything we needed and more. We loved looking out at the horses while enjoying meals at the huge farm table. My husband enjoyed grilling outside while we enjoyed the backyard pond. We appreciated Dawn’s quick and thorough communication when booking. We will definitely be returning.

Charming, comfortable cottage with frog pond and country views!
We had such a beautiful, comfortable stay at this cottage! Dawn is a very thoughtful host and the cottage was sparkling clean and supplied with all you might need for a care-free stay, from comfy bedding to coffee/tea/pantry/condiments/firewood, etc. The cottage is bright, open and airy, and beautifully, creatively decorated with refurbished antique finds from the old barns and lovely photography by the host's family. There are a few quirks since it is a very old home -- owner has thoughtfully labeled everything (such as how to best operate the windows) and we had no difficulties. It is very private (except for the three curious beautiful horses across directly across the road!) and is located on the other side of a stand of pines, with a large, beautiful pond directly behind, which was covered in mist in the early mornings. Beyond the pond, which it at the edge of the hilltop, you see a beautiful vista of the rolling countryside. The pond is full of lilies and frogs and fish, and you hear a beautiful chorus of soft croaking at night. All around you is the host's farm, much of which is available to explore, and we really enjoyed seeing all the cows and calves and horses dotting the fields. (It is always important for their wellbeing and safety to give animals their space, but the owner will guide you for closer encounters if you have time and interest. We were quite busy with outings this trip, and couldn't take advantage of this kind offer this time.) We'll be back!

A lovely stay!
Dawn went above and beyond to create a tranquil, beautiful, and relaxing stay. The home was peaceful and very comfortable and cozy. The property was gorgeous and peaceful and we enjoyed walking around and the beautiful views of both farmland and the pond. Dawn was incredibly friendly and made sure that we were comfortable. We are very appreciative to have had such a wonderful time.
