The hotel has a great scent throughout, and its location is perfect for exploring Chicago — very convenient! The staff is highly professional, and the room was extremely comfortable. However, there are a few downsides. The room’s Art Deco decor leans heavily on white tones and black-and-white photos, which felt a bit stark. It could benefit from a stand for opening carry-ons, and the mirrors inside the closet are not very practical. The Venteux restaurant seems understaffed; I had to wait 25 minutes for food on one occasion, and on another morning, it took 10 minutes for a host to arrive and seat guests. For the price point, being served orange juice from concentrate was also disappointing. On a positive note, the bar downstairs is quite good. As for the rooftop, it's decent, but the interior space next to the bar doesn't quite live up to what one might expect from a 'luxury' label

I love the gold leaf on top of the building. The rooms were very modern and picturesque. I liked the welcome drink. It was delicious! The room service was slightly expensive, but definitely worth the experience. The accommodations were unique and roomy. The bellhops and greeters were helpful and kind. It was centrally located. We hope to return!

Desk staff seemed overwhelmed and stressed
Meh. There are comparably priced places that have better style and far friendlier staff. The staff were helpful, but some of the desk people seemed really overwhelmed and stressed. That vibe is kinda contagious. Also, my reservation said it would have a river view and it definitely did not. Didn't address it cause I just didn't want to deal with them.

I loved the building the moment I saw it for the first time a couple years ago. And when scouting for hotels for my recent trip, I saw Pendry was reasonably priced so I booked it. And boy, it didn’t surprise. It was exceptional. Highly recommend Pendry for its convenience, beauty and amazing service.

Certainly a lot of better options in the area. I’ve stayed at other Pendry options and this is, by far, their worst. The rooms are average/unremarkable. The restaurants are OK but overpriced. The service was not great - called 3 times to get something from guest services, which never came. Check out other nearby properties.

The hotel's location in the Loop is unbeatable—just a minute from the Riverwalk and a quick five-minute stroll to Millennium Park, with plenty to do within walking distance. The rooms are modern, spacious (especially for a busy city), and comfortable. Room service was impeccable, and the room was spotless throughout our stay. They also offer unlimited complimentary water and good-quality in-room coffee, which added an extra level of convenience. The gym was excellent and well maintained and stacked, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel is housed in a beautifully restored historic building, adding to its charm.

I always stay at the Pendry. The upper floors are quiet and so comfortable. I sleep like a baby. The lobby and restaurants are great. Really comfortable bar with excellent service and fires. Rooftop deck, just a really nice example of understated luxury.

Experts have be a free upgrade to a large 26th floor suite at this luxury hotel so of course my review will be 2 thumbs up. Great location for walking to Mag Mile, Art Institute, great restaurants, and more. Priced appropriately overall.

Not worth the money - room seems like an afterthought - small, dusty, plain white box, service and amenities are lacking. Easily the worst four star hotel I’ve ever stayed in, maybe the suites are but the rooms leave a lot to be desired compared to other four stars in the same neighborhood.

Really beautiful hotel in Chicago, perfectly located for exploring the city, with a nice rooftop bar and ground floor bar, restaurant is also nice though often booked for business evets. We had a corner suite which was massive and offered views of both the river and the city, really comfortable bed and shower was excellent. Hotel has a good gym which is not very busy. would definitely recommend as a place to stay.
