No help with my suit case and had to carry it up to the top of the hotel by myself not good 😌 and think in the year 2024 you really need air conditioning now it’s a must so will not be back sorry

The Cliff is tops!!
Really enjoyed our stay. Couldn't fault the cleanliness at all. Breakfast staff in particular were absolutely super! Jo & Maggie are ideal for the job as they were so helpful & attentive If you like chips with everything then the restaurant is for you! We only ate there once because of that but that's our choice. Rooms were lovely & everywhere shone! My husband says he had the best night's sleep he's ever had!!

Lovely place to stay. Staff very friendly. Only one downside parking seemed to be a problem if too many guests with cars, you would have to park on the street. Overall a lovely experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cliff Hotel. Staff were great - attentive and helpful. Our room was in need of refurbishment (carpet had iron burns for example) but clean and comfortable. The sea view rooms all look on to a huge pipe which is from the extractor fan in the kitchen. It’s noisy but is turned off during the night until about 6.30am. We kept the window open for ventilation but once the fan started….. Food in the bar was excellent and the service fantastic and can’t be faulted. Breakfast is also worth mentioning with an excellent full English. Beware there is no lift and the stairs to the top rooms are steep and narrow.

Satisfactory but a little dated. Lovely views!
The room was functional but felt quite small and dated. Reception for booking in was quick and stress free but did not inform me about breakfast times so was early. Also during check out there printer was not working so promised to email me the receipt but still have not received it. Highlight was the breakfast with was delicious and the service was lovely.

The good: We stayed last in the cliff suite. Lovely large suite, nicely decorated, view of the sea. Bed was very comfortable and lovely duvet and pillows. Lovely big bathroom with jacuzzi bath, shower and two sinks. Shower gel in the shower was really nice. Sunday roast in the restaurant overlooking the sea was really lovely, and breakfast was excellent too. Staff were all lovely and keen to please The not so good: There were no sheer blinds or curtains on the windows, just blackout curtains, which mean't that the properties all around the suite could easily look in, so we felt privacy was compromised. The nespresso coffee machine was broken and leaked everywhere. No Fridge or mini bar of any sort. Would have been great to have a small fridge available as this was the suite. Freestanding A/C machine in room was huge but didn't really cool the air so rather pointless, especially as so cumbersome in size. Jacuzzi bath left a sediment after use and there was a smell during use so feel it needs to be cleaned out properly. Bathroom floor tiles were cracked and grout missing in many places so in need of some repairs. Right Hand sink was blocked so just filled up with water when used. No toilet brush available in the bathroom. Finally, in the bar/restaurant would have been nice to have had the option for bottled mixers with your drinks, the coke, lemonade and tonics were all from a pump only and not great, even the cranberry juice was not real juice but a diluted cordial.

Room faced three walls. Service in main restaurant very slow. Poor signal from TV meant only one channel available. Staff very friendly. Lovely view's from roof terrace.

Cliffs hotel.
We had a lovely stay for the two nights we had. We went for a double room with a sea view which also had a small balcony. Room was nice and big with a large bed. Usual amenities were available in the room, which was good. Everything in the room was clean and bed linen was changed daily. We had lovely cocktails in the dining area which was two for one, although you had to have the same cocktail. The rest of the hotal was well presented and staff were friendly and courteous at all times. The only negatives were the bed was quite hard and the pillows were extremely soft, but thats our preference. We were above the kitchen area so had a constant noise of the extractor fan going and the smells of what was been cooked at the time wafting into the room when doors or windows were open. But overall our stay was a nice relaxing one.

Advertised as disabled facilities oh yes a toilet don’t think that’s good enough as if you wanted the toilet you had to go and ask for the key and enabled body person could just go to the toilet without having the embarrassment of asking for a key
