Firstly, the room was huge, the balcony was massive, the bathroom & bedroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The rest, however, is run down and past its sell by date. The furniture is old & bedraggled, the swimming area reminded me of communist Czechoslovakia as a boy and the bar & main restaurant are definitely straight out of the 80s! It was all bearable and the members of staff I encountered were all lovely, but I'd not likely stay here again.

Meritim clubhotel and Meritim hotel is different
There are two hotels at that place: Meritim and Meritim clubhotel. This clubhotel is on the second or third line of the beach, found on a little mountain. Its about 5-7 min. walking from the beach. But if you want get in by car for first time it not so easy: no one flag (indexes) on the road!!! You can see the hotel, but can`t get in by car!!! Its horrable! It has a payment parking, small spa zone and some activity areas outside. Breakfast is big and different, personal in restaurant is very friendly. Rooms are comfortable, but not for 4* hotel. Internet access is very expensive (8EUR per 1 hour). So, if you want sleeping well and get good breakfast , its not bad choice!

will never go back
The Hotel is outdated, even if there is a gym and pool. On 2 occasions we had breakfast and at 12 euro per person way over the top and not worth it. Also you need to pay 5.20 euro for each day of stay a so called "Kurtax". Timmendorf is rather expensive with not a lot of choice, even so the promenade is really nice for walking apart from that not much.

Gute Unterkunft, großes und modernes Zimmer. Sehr umfangreiches und leckeres Frühstück. Nur ist der Weg vom Hotel zum Strand länger und beschwerlicher als erwartet.

Das Hotel ist toll gelegen, direkt an der Strandpromenade. Unser Zimmer war schön groß und das Frühstücksbuffet hatte auch eine reichliche Auswahl. Die Wurstplatten sahen leider nicht gut aus. Die Wurst war unterschiedlich verfärbt; wahrscheinlich durch Temperaturveränderungen. Viel Personal versteht kein Deutsch und kann deshalb keine Auskunft geben. Die Aufzüge sind sehr langsam und man wartet ewig. Beim Check Out wurde uns trotz Buchung für 4 Personen gesagt, wir sollten noch Aufpreis für die Kinder zahlen. Erst nach Diskussion und Vorzeigen der Buchungsbestätigung, wurde gesagt, dass wir dann aus "Kulanz" nicht zahlen müssen. Wenn man für 4 Personen bucht, muss man nicht erwarten, dass außer der Kurtaxe noch Kosten auf einen zukommen! Das war am Schluss unseres Aufenthalts, der ansonsten schön war, ein unnötig umständliches Ende.

Das ehemalige Maritim Club Hotel ist jetzt ein Plaza Hotel. Es wurde im Hotel umfangreich renoviert, Rezeption, Zimmer, Flure. Das Frühstück ist ausbaufähig in der Auswahl und Qualität.
