Comfortable family house.
We were a 3 generation family, age range from 74 to 4 years. Boskenna was a comfortable and well equipped house for cooking at home, plus a barbeque. The only need that was not met was sun cover, a large parasol would have been very handy! Good choice of beaches easily reached by car as walking would have been difficult with small people. Certainly would go again.

Beautiful view
The house was everything we needed for a comfortable stay with three generations of our family. The kitchen was well equipped and appliances all functional. Perfectly situated to explore the area. It’s a short distance to Boscastle and Tintagel Castle. The Coastal Path is easily accessible and enjoyable. On top of all that the weather was good too!

Some issues need resolving quickly. Cleaning not to a high standard
A few issues with regard to cleanliness., Couldn't get in to house until 5pm because of Covid cleaning. Cobwebs found in upstairs king size bedroom plus dead wasps so no proper clean done. Under cushions on sofas never been cleaned crumbs/dirt. Dated decor ripped lino in kitchen. Stairs not child friendly stairs as our two year old climbed through side. Kitchen could do with update as wear and tear very obvious. Oven did not work so we had to eat out for three nights until replacement fitted then house smelt of burning , not great with a 4 month old so we stayed upstairs.

Great location and spectacular views
The property is in a fantastic location with the most amazing views for the patio and sea view bedrooms. The space is large which is great for a family. The kitchen has lots of utensils, so you do not need to wait for the dishwasher to finish and unload. The bedding is lovely and comfortable. I would bring cards and games for those rainy days as the property does not have any but this might be due to CV19 restrictions. The outside patios could do with a spruce up.. unfortunately the outside table was broken with no glass top, the house keeper explained a new one was on order however that didn’t help us as we could not eat outside. There are no loungers for outdoor sunbathing as listed. The garden is great for the dogs and I didn’t worry that they would escape, however the gate latch doesn’t auto click and therefore needs to be checked that it’s closed. The inside of the property was clean, but quite outdated especially the bathrooms which could do with new shower screen and blinds that are slightly worn./ mouldy in places. The sofas were on unfortunately stained in places (looked like children’s greasy fingers) so we put our own Throws over them The location and the views do make up for it and we did have a plea sent stay, but a few things could be improved to make it all a little more homely.

Will come again
Lovely views of the sea. Very clean and spacious accommodation although a few small repairs required here and there. Located literally round the corner from the parking for st nectans glen, near rocky valley and Tintagel castle/merlins cave about 1-2 miles away. Had a fabulous time even with horrible weather with a group whose age ranges were from 3 years old to mid 50’s. Even the 3 year old managed the walks with the assistance of reins and daddy’s shoulders. Will definitely be looking to return.

A lovely location
The house is large and very spacious. There is plenty of space for everyone. Think we were the first guests since lockdown as the garden was unfortunately scruffy. Grass was very roughly cut which made it unpleasant to walk on. The overall standard of cleanliness was average. We had to wipe out all the drawers before they could be used. Bathrooms are old and dated but a good size. The location is great and the views are wonderful. This house could be amazing with some money spent on it.

July summer holiday
The house is in a great location and has amazing views. It is a bit tired, smells a bit musty and the bunk bed room is minute, but the living room, dining room and kitchen made it easy for the whole family to relax together and the sight of the sun setting over the sea made it all worth while.

5 Star holiday
Best place we have ever stayed in would definitely recommend. Views amazing, extremely clean and had everything we needed and very comfortable. Very lucky with the weather. Would just like to point out the washing line is broken and could not be used. The front door was quite difficult to lock and unlock and there was some animal fur on one of the sofas, but these are minor points and did not detract from a fabulous stay. We definitely book again.

Lovely house, beautiful views, brilliant location for access to local beaches and places of interest
We had a lovely week at Boskenna. We were 2 families of 4 (8 adults), and there was plenty of space for all of us. One of us is a table tennis player, so the table tennis table was a big plus! The house is in a perfect spot for visiting the area, and the owners had provided lots of info about local attractions. Beware of the speed bumps in the lane leading to the house, though: one of them is high, and not clearly marked, and both our cars got scraped even when going very slowly!

Wonderful views, great size, condition a little tired.
The size of the property is great and it commands sea views from the living room, garden and the main two bedrooms. The open plan layout is wonderful for the family as you are always together. To be honest the condition of the property is what prevents a 5 star rating, that and the poor tv reception and Wi-fi. The inside is tired and needs some work, there are stains on the carpet in a couple of places, marks on the work tops and most rooms need a fresh lick of paint. You can only rely on BBC on the main tv and this was an issue for the first week of the World Cup! There is a tv in the main bedroom and that has no problems with the reception. Also the Wi-fi is only 2mbs, oddly the router is upstairs which means downstairs you struggle to connect. A quick google search indicates 30mbs is available and with a modern family would be most welcome with a good quality router. The garden is a good size but not very well kept, it looked like the grass had been recently cut for the first time in weeks. The patio furniture has missing glass and a chair leg is rusted and there were also a number of cigarette butts on the patio. We loved the idea of a table tennis table in the shed it’s just a shame the bats were in poor condition and there were no balls. We went out and brought some balls and have left them so the next family weren’t disappointed as well! Just an idea but a blackboard and chalk in the shed would be nice, just to keep track of score. Location, size and views were all great, the condition is what would prevent us going back. The poor TV and Wi-fi would also be a factor, not that we went there to sit inside and watch tv all day but to be able to relax of an evening and keep the children entertained they are essential in this day and age.

A wonderful and spacious property, ideal for a family group
As a family group of three generations including an elderly grandmother with limited mobility, we found Boskenna to be a perfect holiday home for a sunny week in May. The house was very clean and welcoming, we felt immediately comfortable there. The space was ideal with the open plan kitchen overlooking the dining room area, meaning anybody making food was able to be social with the rest of the group. The sunsets over the sea were simply spectacular, we have some absolutely beautiful photographs to remember them by. Also the starry skies were just breathtaking too. Every family member enjoyed our stay and we would love to return another year, I highly recommend Boskenna!

Great space and good location for both Tintagel and Boscastle
We really enjoyed our stay here - the open plan lounge / dining room / kitchen is a lot bigger than it appears from the photos with plenty of space for our extended family of 10. Lovely sea views and a short drive to both Tintagel and Boscastle. We were also lucky enough to have some good weather and enjoyed a couple 9f BBQs on the patio. The only reason this wasnt a 5 star review is because it needs a bit of TLC in places (as is thr case with lots of holiday properties), the outside table needs to be replaced (glass missing from one section), garden needs a bit of tidying, the TV reception is temperamental and the Wi-Fi was very poor (it was much quicker to use mobile data). However all these are minor gripes and certainly didn't spoil a great holiday!

Great house, beautiful location.
We brought our families to the house for Christmas, and had a great time. The views were lovely, nearby walking beautiful and easily accessible, the house warm and comfortable, and the owners were so friendly and helpful in preparing for our visit, making sure the kitchen was equipped for cooking huge Christmas meals, and resolving one tiny problem on arrival. Our one reservation was that the water pressure was a bit low - I've got very thick hair and struggled to wash it properly. Overall, we had a lovely holiday at Boskenna and would definitely recommend it.

lovely stay at boskenna again weather was'nt to great this year but we found plenty of things to do with a family group ranging from 4 years to 85 years Camels Creek Wadebridge, Bodmin jail, Padstow, Rock and for the brave Adrenalin quarry, there's lots more but we never seem to have enough time down here. The view from the house is amazing to wake up to. neighbours are nice locals are generally nice people. had a few family meals in the king Arthur's arms very accommodating .... try their whoopa of a burger. love it
