Rooms were incredibly small. I have stayed in Japan before but these were smaller than expected. Location wasn’t the best as it is incredibly busy. Would not recommend unless you enjoy riding back to back on the subway.

Hotel Sunroute Ginza was a fantastic stay - the hotel was clean, quiet and safe. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included and the food was great - we opted to have dinner there one night too which was also delicious. Thank you Sunroute Ginza for a great stay!

We booked two rooms that were both dirty. I walked into the toilet and immediately spotted pee droplets under the toilet basin. The room reeked of pee. There were hairs on the bed and brown splatter stains on the wall. I told the staff about the toilet and the front desk staff came in with a bucket for cleaning and she asked me where. She wiped where i pointed but she didn’t even wipe the whole thing. The obvious dried up pee stains on the floor were still there. In the end i asked to be moved to another room with the help of expedia customer service. I was brought into another room that was slightly cleaner but still smelled like pee in the toilet. The room however smelled like mens aftershave. It was much more tolerable but I worried that even that room was not cleaned because of the men’s perfume that lingered. When I went down to lobby I heard the front desk staff talking about me in japanese and how I was the person that complained about the room. I always feel bad for complaining but that whole experience just left a sour taste in my mouth. I’d still pick this over APA but if I had to choose I won’t go to either. Maybe other Sunroute hotels have better cleanliness and reception but not this one.

Stayed for a week starting 11 October. Check in was smooth. Staff at front desk or service staff were polite and courteous and made me feel at home. Breakfast were great with lots of options. There are plenty restaurants, convenience stores around the hotel. Greatly recommend a stay!

Generally, this hotel is more like a motel, don’t expect too much but a bed and shower. The size of my room is the smallest I ever have in Tokyo, the house keeping just change my bed sheet and nothing more, they just randomly put my cloths and personal stuff every time they do the cleaning. For the convenience aspect, it’s not a first choice as well, you have to walk almost 10-15 mins to the most popular JR or Metro stations. In short, not a hotel that I’ll pay another visit, specially the room size.
