We were impressed with the intelligently and carefully designed room. Like the average hotel in Tokyo you don’t have a large amount of space around your bed, however it makes very good use of the space that is available. Plus the room had a microwave and a washer/dryer which is so convenient. Hotel is in a good location - just a few minutes walk to Higashi-Ginza and Tsukiji stations. Shower and toilet were immaculate.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Tsukiji, and it was absolutely fantastic! If you're planning a trip to Tokyo, I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. Here’s why: 1. Prime Location The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Ginza, one of Tokyo’s most vibrant and upscale neighborhoods. It's a stone’s throw from the iconic Tsukiji Outer Market, where you can savor fresh sushi and seafood, and only a short walk from Ginza's luxury shopping streets. The convenient access to public transportation (close to both Ginza and Higashi-Ginza subway stations) makes exploring the rest of Tokyo a breeze. 2. I wished the public bath had hangers or hooks for towels - there was no place to put towels in the bath area. Also wished the staff could help make restaurants reservations for those of us who cannot phone and speak Japanese. And why aren’t ice buckets in the rooms? Compared to our last hotel the “service” seemed rather limited.

I was disappointed at this hotel. From a Japanese standard, they should not charge that high rates with the services they provide. Breakfast was very disappointing. Not many options and quality was low considering they are located in Tsukiji. Cleaning services was very disappointing too. It’s better to stay at business hotels that offer much better price. I will not stay at this hotel anymore.

Overall, as a Westerner who appreciates comfort when paying for a hotel, this hotel features the firmest matress in the known galaxy. Its like trying to sleep on a rock. For side sleepers, DON'T stay here ! The washer/dryer combo is weak ( the dryer feature is just a spin cycle ), so customer beware. The rooms are unbelievablly tiny. Honestly, the rooms felt like mini prison cells. Oh yeah there is no free breakfast and the one they do have looks feeble and overpriced. We paid $370 ( plus tax ) for 2 nights and we feel ripped off. Now, what is there is to appreciate? The staff was very nice. Thats about it. The eco- friendliness is borderline ' cheap antics ' and really taxes the customer. To give you 3 wash towels for 3 people is embarrassing. Overall, i perfer a Marriot based chain due to status and overall comfort.

The Mitsui Garden Ginza Tsukiji is a beautiful resort. Clean, well-appointed, fresh, and conveniently located. The staff is friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet was sublime! I enjoyed the public bath every night. The front desk woman from North Carolina, I think her name is Carolyn (sorry if I’m mistaken) was extremely helpful. I ordered an Uber for our fare back to Haneda Airport. I marked the incorrect pick up location which was across the street. She was gracious to escort our party to the Uber driver to ensure we were at the right location. I would stay here again when I return to Ginza.

If you've previously stayed at other Mitsui Garden Hotels, you may find this location disappointing. They are adopting a more self-service approach, which doesn't align with traditional Japanese hospitality. While there were staff members available to assist, it often felt like they were doing us a favor. We added an extra day to our trip that did not include breakfast, unlike our other days. When we asked about this, they refused to make an exception and insisted we pay for breakfast at the restaurant. The hotel breakfast, it was one of the worst experiences we've had. The main menu offered nothing appealing, and the buffet was cold—how hard can it be to keep the eggs warm? While the fresh fruits and rolls were exceptional, I recommend skipping breakfast at the hotel since there are plenty of great options just a block away. I also found the self-serve amenities unappealing. The staff member in the lobby who monitored the area made it feel as though we were being judged for taking anything. Additionally, there was construction during our stay, which further detracted from the experience. I do not recommend. For the price there are many better option's.

The hotel was brand new, so the rooms are clean and staff are very friendly helpful. Washer dryer unit inside the room was definitely a huge plus! Will stay again.
