A good base for a stay in Toledo.
We stayed in a very comfortable family room. The room fitted all four single beds comfortably and the shower room was a good size. The location was fabulous, down a quiet side street but not far from Toledo’s many wonderful sights. I definitely would recommend this as a good base for a stay in Toledo.

Clean Value Hostel in Good Location
Pleasant and helpful multilingual staff. Clean room with granite tile floors. Several restaurants and bars close by. Use the convenient "Hop On Hop Off" tour bus to save on transportation costs if arrival at train station is during operational hours. Stops at Bisagra Gate which is about 300 meters away. Only downside was steep hill walking to Hostal.

Great Hostal/Hotel, great location and great staff
We couldnt have asked for more from Hostal Sol. We stayed there for 2 nights before going to Madrid airport to drop off my daughter for her flight. The reception staff were amazing and could not do enouh for us. The maids also did a great job, with 4 adults staying in The same room you can i agine the mess. I cannot say enough good things about the Hostal/Hotel Sol, thanks guys.

Great room, hit and miss staff
Room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. The area was really quiet. Our first impression of the staff was not a good one, when we arrived the gentlemen began to pull up our reservation but then took a phone call and left us hanging for about 10 minutes. Then on our day of check out the lady at the desk did the same thing and we had to wait while we were in the middle of sorting out everything. Luckily one of the gentlemen (possibly the owner) was extremely helpful when we wanted to book another night and was very kind. We loved our time in Toledo and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Excellent budget hotel only a 5 minute walk from centre . friendly staff who were very helpful and gave excllent advice on where to go and what to see.Good restaurants nearby and Toledo was a wondefful experience.Car parking was efficient and cheap.No problems with wifi

Great little Hostal
A lovely clean room in the hostal over the road from the main hotel on a quiet part residential street (don't be put off by the site next to the hostel (vacant plot). The room was perfect for me and had everything I needed at a great price. This place is well situated on the train station side of Toledo (I walked from the station which didn't take long, and took me across the river with a great view of the Alcantara Bridge). Buses run from the station and there is a new bus station at the bottom of the road so very handy. There are lots of handy shops, restaurants and bars nearby and it's a very short walk to the Bisagra gate, city walls and Mosque of Cristo de la Luz is nearby too. I bought a Toledopass at the train station which gave me entry to 6 monuments with guided tours of both the cathedral and city walls.

well priced , clean and basic accommodation. Hotel staff very helpful. 5 mins walk to centre. Cafes to have breakfast /lunch at end of street. Has parking which is a real plus in the centre . Highly recommended

Nice night in Toledo
We found the hotel and room to be clean, efficient and comfortable. The only difficulty was with the shower, which was just a shower head mounted on the wall in the bathroom, and a shower curtain that pulled around to form a very small cubicle. Water went all over the floor around the shower pan, but there was a drain in the middle of the bathroom floor anyway. It's no problem if you're not into luxurious showers. As with most hotels in Europe, they save energy by requiring the room key to be entered into a slot by the door in order for the electricity to come on.

Great location. Surprisingly good for a hostal.
The place is nice and clean; great value for the money (about 50 euros for a room for 3). I'd give it 5 stars on all the categories, if it wasn't for the fact that we were given 1 small, thin tablet of soap for 3 people, and no shampoo at all. Fortunately we had our own toiletries. There is no person at the front desk at night until next day at 8:00am, which could be a problem if your electric breaker turns off the electricity for unknown reasons. If you are driving, be careful with the steep & narrow one way street up to the place. Other than that, great stay.

I loved this hostal! At check-in, we were greeted by one of the friendliest staff members I have encountered in Spain. He explained the layout of the room and was just so kind, helpful, and like I said, friendly. The hostal is very close to many restaurants, fun neighborhoods, and the metro. The room was large and had a fridge, microwave, a toaster, as well as some goodies for breakfast. The room was quite clean as well. It can get a little loud at night if your room faces the street, but I slept through the noise without a problem - my BF woke up maybe once throughout the night. That's not the hostal's fault though:) We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would happily book again.

Sol had a great location, great staff, and a clean useful room. Would definitely stay here again. Only small minuses are that you can hear a lot of noise from folks going in and out of their rooms and the shower is very cozy.

hotel is in one building. hostel in another one. the only thing missing in hostel is wifi. they could charge a couple of euros a night if needed. wifi is a must for today's travellers.

Good place to stay
