Hidden Gem- for sure
This place is absolutely beautiful! Great price for what you get. One thing: make sure you check your reservation. I booked a 1 king and 2 twin bed room and when We got there, we had two beds. When I showed the owner my reservation - he said my room is not available in Winter.?? How could I reserve it then? Regardless- we were put in the family suite and charged more money but it was not much more. I plan to stay here again in the future!!

All good, except the person receiving guests had to use a translation app. It would be much better to have someone on site who can speak English or French.

No signs indicating it is a hotel. Building hidden by trees. Parking entrance not visible and for only 4 cars. Cleanliness lacking. Breakfast limited to toast and coffee. Eggs raw.

Nice stay
This hotel is a mansion that has been restored beautifully it’s just lacking in the small details needed to make the stay great. The owner is very nice and friendly. Communication is through an electronic translator which isn’t an issue. The room was large and clean. There were only 2 towels no washcloths or face towels. King size bed had 2 pillows and I could have used another 2 pillows. There was no bath mat so I had to use a towel after getting out of the shower. No lamps only lights were switches on the wall needing to get out of bed to shut them off. There are no amenities soap, shampoo etc. There is a large bottle shampoo in the shower but I wouldn’t feel comfortable using it being that it’s been opened and used many times. Nice soaker tube we could not use for because a sign saying it was broken. Which appeared to be brand new and clean. In the description of the room that is one of the points that it has a soaker tub. Location is great. We walked to the symphony and out to eat, 13 minutes from the airport. It was a nice stay just not great.

Nice but know this in advance
Lovely, clean room, but the bed was so hard, like being on the floor. It is not a full serve hotel so there is no service and no one to really call. You get 2 towels only, no hand towels, no wash cloths and no bathmat. No bar soap, pump products only, no box of Kleenex. We made it work but wouldn't stay more than 1 night Limited tv access. Not handicapped accessible as there is no elevator in this 3 storey complex. Proprietor does not speak English and uses a translation app on his phone. However it is a nice place, convenient location and for 1 night quite adequate. A little hard to find as there is no identifiable signage outside.

Photos are misleading. Not truly a hotel. Appears to have been a luxury home that was partially converted for use as a hotel but on a very low budget. For example, marble floors are covered with cheap industrial carpeting. Parking is limited and awkward (some guests had to park their cars in the yard under a tree). Amenities are very limited.

Overall satisfied with my stay. Not at all your typical hotel; so if that's what you're looking for I would reccomend staying elsewhere. This place has much more of a low key BB/high end hostle vibe. The rooms were clean and bright, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was enough to get your day started; but definitely not your typical continental breakfast. My friend and I were in a double room on the basment level. Being an older building you could hear the rattle/groan of the water pipes when either we or the people above used the shower/toilet which is less than ideal, but understandable given the age of the building. Check in was an interesting event since theres no real check in desk; but the gentleman running it was pleasant enough. Wasn't very comfortable leaving my credit card information with him since he recorded it by writing it down in a cheap note book by hand; made sure to cancle that card the next day. Only major downside was our room had the WIFI modem mounted on the wall and therefore we had to put up with an ammoying flashing blue lights all night. Would definitely suggest management find a way to block the lights as they make it difficult to fall asleep. Would also suggest investing in single use shampoos/ conditioners for the room rather that leaving communal standars bottles in the room. As a public health professional, theres no way I would feel comfortable using communal bathing supplies. I ended up skipping my evening shower because of it.

This is an unique old mansion converted to a small hotel. Good possibilities, however, not welcoming. Screens up all over with type written notes taped to the front. Husband went to lobby to get coffee at 8 am. only one cup. When asked for another cup, was pointed to a sign that says reception not open from 9 pm - 9 am. But we were told breakfast was from 730 am to 930 am. There is a list of requirements needed, toilet paper holder, bathroom hook, bedside light, table. Towels you'd find at a motel along Kingston Rd.

It’s more like an Airbnb or homestay. The location is convenient where it’s just 3 minutes walk from subway. The room is clean and big. However, the staff service is bad. We just asked about air conditioning . The staff/owner walked into our room without permission and checked the widow. He is unfriendly and rude.

No sign indicating that it was a hotel. Limited and confined parking. Pictures on the web do not reflect reality. Laundry & ironing being carried on in the hallway. Door requires a code to both open and close. Room large enough to accommodate the bed but not much larger. The whole establishment was somewhat slipshod. Missing lightbulbs in bedroom chandelier. No reading lamps. Large closet with hall coat rack standing forlornly in the middle. Shower door leaked. Our room was in the basement. Breakfast consisted of hardboiled eggs, boiled weiners with bread or cereal. Fell on steep front steps when the post on the railing fell off. Language problems with staff.

Is This an Hotel?
Place was hard to find, it looks like a house with no sign outside. The person at reception barely spoke English. There was no air conditioning in the room; I had to open the windows and the room became noisy because of the traffic. The bed was incredibly hard, way too hard. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no coffee and no cups. The wi-fi was sporadic at best. However, it was clean. I would never recommend that place to anyone, unless it is the only one available in the area and you really want to be in the area (that was my case). Very close to many restaurants, cinema, public transit and shops.
