This hotel is NOT ZENā€¦nothing like it. Maybe POI-ZEN. The worst ever hotel experience in 40 years of global travel. My wife and I, 75 and 62 years old, reserved and paid for this hotel (near airport) for the last night of our 3-week road trip in Spain. We loved everything about Spain and had hitherto experienced warm and kind hospitality. On arrival at the hotel (in an area of dense on street parking) we parked our car in an area designated and signed for hotel unloading. Subsequently we were rudely directed to move from the space with no other instructions. Unable to find any suitable parking nearby I returned and double parked and unloaded luggage onto the sidewalk. At this point a member of staff (shuttle bus driver?) confronted me and denied and prevented me from checking in. He accused me of trying to run him over (categorically denied by me) and when I attempted to enter the hotel he blocked my passage and called the police. I when I did gain entry I was physically and forcibly removed by two staff. When the police arrived and heard the versions of events it appears they rebuked the hotel for failing to allow me to use the unloading area which was part of the public street. We left and found alternative and much better accommodation nearby. At no time did the hotel attempt to diffuse the situation and rather they deliberately escalated it. Avoid the hotel like the plague, it is simply nasty. Now I have to try and recover my payment.

Amazing area nice and quiet. Rooms are basic could do with a bit of a decorating. Amazing courtesy bus service from the airport, beach and train station. Staff were very friendly. Lovely pool. Would recommend.

We only stayed one night, so we didn't complain about the fact that the air conditioning unit dripped so much water on the floor, it was treacherously slippery. The courtesy shuttle was perfect for our needs and the pizza was delicious and the staff were great. It's not on the beach (which I thought one of the photos implied), but it's very convenient to the airport. Overall, if you need a place to stay before your flight out of Malaga, this is a good option.

In 4 nights the floor never been cleaned or bedding changed, we had ants in bed :( There's no where to hang swimming stuff to dry. Only a very limited choice for breakfast, also boiled eggs delivered without shells from somewhere and taste sour as they kept in some liquid to keep them fresh.
