If you're looking for a rental property that sleeps a bunch with a reasonable kitchen, dinning room, family room and living room, this place will work just fine. Don't expect the Ritz. There is only one purpose the owner has for this place, and that is rental income. The kitchen is well provisioned and previous renters had left a few things in the spice drawer.
You can tell this is a rental property from the way the place is maintained. There are cobwebs all over, the gutters are full of debris and there is a tree growing out of the chimney. The property is surrounded by what appears to be a defunct nursery. One morning, we saw out our back window a woman dropping her drawers and taking a dump back there.
Biggest con for this place is the highway in front of the house. Although it's only 2 lane, it changes speeds from 45 to 55mph just past the property. Makes sitting on the deck or opening the windows not enjoyable.
The beach is beautiful, and the use of the kayaks was nice. We did have a great time, though the check in process was a bit sketchy. Got an email from VRBO 3 days before saying if I didn't have check-in instructions to reach out to the host. I did that, and he responded instructions would come out the night before. Received nothing. Sent a message on the morning of check-in and heard nothing. Called at 2 hours before check-in and reached the host. He then sent the instructions, saying it was some IT issue with VRBO.
