This French country-style cabin is set amongst our private woods in Leelanau County. It is a place to relax and enjoy the quietness of the woods. This will be your home away from home, for sure.

From the moment you enter the driveway from the main road, it will take you back into the woods to your cabin. This cabin is so quaint when you open the door. It has a fully equipped kitchen. It has a screened-in porch to relax, enjoy a meal, drink, chill, and read a book in our swing chair. We also have complimentary local wine from Leelanau for all of our guests. Enjoy that glass of wine by sitting in our relaxing chairs on the patio by the fire table.

The cabin is conveniently located near many activities, restaurants, and beaches. The bike trail is approximately 1/2 mile from the cabin locations, with Traverse City and Suttons Bay nearby. The nearest local winery is a short 2-minute drive north, deeper into Leelanau Peninsula wine country.

Whether you desire comfortable, quiet solitude at the cabin or prefer exploring the unique area of Leelanau Country and surrounding counties, it is up to you.

We hope you will enjoy relaxing at our cabin, exploring, or doing whatever you have planned while in the area. For many years, we have had this dream of sharing the beauty of our property with others. We hope that it will become your favorite spot when visiting our area.

Can't Say Enough Good Things!
This property was even better than promised. The cabin is spacious, clean and well appointed. The owners have thought of everything! Kitchen was the best stocked of any rental I have stayed at and the bed and linens were very nice and very comfortable. Location is super private - tucked back in the woods where you will only hear birds and only see wildlife. Owner was super responsive and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Hidden Gem Close to Everything
Beautiful, cozy, peaceful home in the woods, yet centrally located to so many things to do and see in the area! The home is well-appointed with a wonderfully comfortable bed. We loved sitting on the back porch swing. Hostess was an excellent communicator, and took care of any of our needs! We used the bikes to ride the nearby TART trail straight to Traverse City, and to Sutton's Bay via Leelanau Trail.

We loved the location of the cabin, surrounded by peaceful woods and nature, while still being close to Traverse City. We were also really impressed by how clean everything was! The owners clearly care about the property and making sure your visit is great.

This is our second time staying. Great location for lots of day trips, wineries, and exploring downtown traverse city. Property is clean and well equipped for your stay. The owners Terry and Beth have done a great job and easily available if you need anything. We will definitely be back.

Perfect peace
Everything about this beautifully planned, built, decorated and stocked cabin in the woods is perfect. I needed a quiet get away and this was the perfect spot. Places of contemplation range from woodland trails to the swing in the beautiful, screened in porch. For the privacy it offers it is remarkably close to both Traverse City and Sutton's Bay. I whole heartedly recommend this beautiful cabin for one or two people either looking for a quiet stay or a convenient location for much the area offers.

Beautifully relaxing!
If someone were to ask me what more could this cabin use, there isn't anything I could say. Beth and Terry have thought of every little detail. The beds are cozy, linens are lovely and the added bonus of farm fresh eggs in the fridge! So thoughtful. We appreciated the peace and quiet of the area and enjoyed several evening bonfires. The trails on the property are nice workouts. The cabin was spotless upon our arrival. Check in and communication was effortless. We will most definitely be back!

SECLUDED PARADISE
We love staying with Beth and Terry. This is our third stay and our first time at French Country. It was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. We were in desperate need of a peaceful weekend away and this was just what we needed. The cabin has EVERYTHING that the comforts of home have. We loved sitting by the fire pit at night and using the little electric fire place inside as well. The cabin is immaculate and we have had the pleasure of meeting both Beth and Terry several times. They are wonderful hosts and feel like friends. We can’t wait to come back. We call this our happy place.

Cutest Cabin in the Woods!
My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary with a trip to Traverse City, and our stay in the cabin in the woods was PERFECT! From the moment we arrived, we are captivated by the peaceful surroundings. The interior of the cabin was nothing short of spectacular! It's by far the best decorated VRBO we have stayed in. We particularly enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the screened porch. Our experience was exceptional and we HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect blend of tranquility and proximity to all that downtown Traverse City has to offer. Lastly, the bikes provided were a perfect way to use the amazing trail system, which lead us to a beautiful winery.

Great place to stay!
The French cabin was the nicest VRBO we’ve ever stayed it. Exceptionally clean and had absolutely everything we needed. Perfect for a couple to stay in for a weekend or much longer. All we needed were a few groceries and we were set for a 4 night stay. Great location in the woods and only 15 minutes from downtown Traverse City. Beth and Terry are outstanding hosts.

Peace in The Woods
The Woods French Country cottage (cabin) was one of the most relaxing Traverse City stays we have had in 30 years of coming home to Traverse City. Close to TC and all that beautiful Leelanau County has to offer. There was nothing that wasn’t provided. Coffee-yes! Beach towels-yes cleanliness-YES! An adorable cottage set back in the quiet woods. Deer visited us as did the turkeys fireflies and woodpeckers. Beth and Terry were fabulous hosts and communicators and answered all our questions quickly. They even left a lovely welcome gift and the best fresh eggs for our breakfast. The cottage was sparkling clean and I am super picky about that. The bikes and being close to the TART trail made our vacation so much fun. We rode them daily on the trail over 150 miles all over beautiful Leelanau County! What a great Summer vacation, made simply fantastic with a great place to stay with wonderful hosts!!! Book it with no reservations, you will be glad you did!
