Tucked away on a sleepy street in the heart of Trentham is picture-perfect Birch Cottage, a three bedroom, two bathroom (1 toilet) renovated country retreat ideal for families and groups of up to 5-6 guests.

This gorgeous two storey weatherboard home sits on a large block with country gardens and is conveniently located just a short stroll to the Trentham town centre. The tastefully decorated interior features all the modern comforts such as split system heating/cooling, large country wood-fire, dishwasher and WiFi, while the spacious communal living/dining area offers views to the garden and the perfect spot to gather together and soak in the country charm.

The Space:
Birch Cottage features three large bedrooms for guests to enjoy, two with luxurious king beds and one with a single bed and an optional trundle. Meticulously renovated bathrooms with high-end amenities offer luxury to this thoughtful country house; the well equipped large country kitchen and open-plan living/dining space with cathedral ceilings connect seamlessly with the outdoor entertaining area and gardens, encouraging groups to socialise and connect no matter what the weather.

Outside, visitors to Birch Cottage will enjoy the established gardens and lush green lawns, complete with a large trampoline and cubby house for the kids to enjoy. The outdoor living experience is further enhanced with an undercover decking area, gas BBQ and fire-pit area.

Trentham is famous for growing some of the country’s best seasonal produce. it’s no surprise it’s one of central Victoria’s most exciting foodie destination; Chef Annie Smithers du Fermier French farmhouse restaurant, to bakeries turning out award-winning sourdough breads.

Work up an appetite, or work off the previous day’s indulgences, with a trip to Trentham Falls, Victoria’s highest single-drop waterfall. Find yourself wandering paths through beautiful old trees, enjoying a picnic with the soothing sounds of water or simply enjoy the songs of native wildlife. If you’re up for a more energetic adventure, the region boasts some of the best bush walks that can be enjoyed on foot, on bike and even horseback!

Getting Around:
There is a limited bus service operating between our beautiful towns. The PTV website will provide the most up to date schedule/timetable. There is a Daylesford taxis who can be contacted on 5348 1111 & Macedon Ranges Taxi on 5460 0122. Unfortunately Uber has not quite reached us yet!
