Breakfast was overcooked and quality was not good. Menu items that is included in prepaid breakfast from expedia is up to the restaurant!! Beach isnt clean at all. Restaurant staff is unprofessional and racist. NO POOL. Sister hotel has pool access but full of teens who smoke weed!!

Westin Tampa Bay is still nice but in bad need of a makeover. Either give the resort experience or be an efficient hotel. The location and bau views are amazing but the room is dated. The Carpet and furniture needs to be replaced, at least. The restaurant, Aqua is trash. Because I didnt want to argue while on vacation, I made my complaint to hotel staff privately. The private beach needs upkeep. The shells will cut your feet to shreds. Please purchase new sand. You can walk to amenities nearby, which is great but the $30 a day parking fee discourages car rental so exploring the area beyond walking or biking distances comes at a cost for ride share. Refrigerators in hotel rooms is pretty standard, there is no need to make that a premium. I had to use ice and the sink to keep my Key Lime pie fresh. The nearby restaurant Bahama Breeze serves a two portion slice, and tastes great but to not be able to keep it refrigerated was just mean spirited by the hotel. For location and relative safety, its a nice hotel but management should decide, are we luxury or efficiency. They are living off a luxurious name while not providing the efficiency of a Hampton Inn.

I thought the hotel was fabulous. However I did not know it was being renovated. The AC was not great in any public space, including the bar and restaurant. I did not know the pool was gone. I assumed if the pool was not available, some other facility would be offered. Not the case. That made it disappointing.

Poor customer service and process
Staff walked into my room while I was naked after having a shower. Then rang the room to ask me who I was and why I was in the room (I’d checked in as normal)
