Relaxing and tranquil
Trying to find El Capitan was not too straightforward and I was wondering if I had made a mistake by being in La Boca instead of Trinidad - but when we got here all fears were one. This was such a beautiful and relaxing location and a great way to unwind after driving around Cuba. The access to the sea was a treat and the gardens a great place to just sit and watch the palms sway.

Beautiful location and facility. Breakfast and service were excellent. The seaside is a lava shelf so you have to careful getting in and out of the water, especially if there's a swell. Careful with the wifi. Your ETECSA card will continue running unless the owner logs you out. Yile, he owner, was very helpful and pleasant.

El Capitan is the best place we stayed at during our 2-week trip in Cuba. We originally booked 2 nights but ended up staying 4. The rooms are airy, elegant and spotless. Each room has an individual table on the terrace, where breakfast is served. Great ocean views. Rent a bike, have an evening drink at Ocean Terrace (La Boca) and you've a perfect Cuban vacation. Two warnings: (a) there are lots of mosquitoes around (at least in December) - get some repellent; (b) the hostal has direct access to the ocean but beware of sea urchins ... I am still removing spines from my foot two weeks later!

Great casa outside of Trinidad
A great stay in La Boca (Keep in mind this place is not in Trinidad but the taxi costs only 8-10CUC). Friendly staff and tidy rooms. We loved the coffee and the breakfast in general.

Grande chambre tres recente et décorée avec gout par la proprietaire. Climatisation efficace et silencieuse. Grand et tres beau jardin face à la mer (prevoir des chaussures specifiques car rochers). Belle faune et flore. Service aimable et efficace. Petit dejeuner tres copieux et smoothie delicieux. Une excellente adresse mais il est preferable d’etre motorisé (ce qui etait notre cas).

J'avais une réservation pour une chambre supérieure de 30 ma avec vue mer, et nous avions demandé si possible calme. On nous donné une chambre vue sur mer, mais elle était petite 15 à 16 m2 au lieu de 30 m2! Impossible ranger nos affaires, seulement une penderie avec quelques cintres. Les 2 autres chambres vue mer étaient plus grandes environ 20 et 30 m2. Ces 2 chambres étaient plus calmes. La notre donnait sur la pièce commune ( pas d'entrée independante) et se situait près de la cuisine avec une fenêtre qui donnait sur la route. Je considère que je n'ai pas eu ce que j'attendais pour le prix élevé pour une casa particular. Je vous demande

Très bonne adresse
Casa Particular idéale lorsqu'on visite TRINIDAD à condition d'avoir une voiture. La propriétaire est charmante et la casa très bien entretenue en bord de mer. La petite plage se trouvant à 1km de la casa est super pour faire du snorkling (les coraux et poissons sont très très beaux).
