The resort is new, located in a remote spot but accessing 2 beautiful beaches.
The disappointing aspect was the customer service:
-The staff spoke poor english. To run more than 300 suites you need people speaking english.
-On arrival we paid the city tax. I noted after paying that it did not match the amount on the itinerary, they "said that expedia would not know the local rate." I said that they should look at it if Expedia has wrong information as it's misleading and they said that I should look into it.
-Hotel check in at 5 pm checkout at 10 (never saw this before).
-On arrival were told we could not have dinner (hotel has 2 restaurants and 1 pizzeria, because we should have prebooked it "many hours earlier." When I pointed that they had a very late check in and therefore we arrived late, they agreed to book us in (note that we paid extra a set amount per person to "upgrade" to half board)
-Maintainance/ Equipment safety. On Monday late evening the room air-con started leaking water over the wall that was going down to electric cables on the wall. The air-con was not working properly as well. We called the reception and somebody came (not speaking any english) who told us to switch it off (Italy had heatwave as well), could provide no fan and would talk to his manager in the morning. There was no effort to find any other solution or speak to anybody. Next day we asked 3 more times for a technician, no feedback were given.
We left a day earlier and they did not ask why
