Absolutley beautiful grounds and venue, staff were friendly and room was really nice. The first night was lovely however the 2nd night there was a wedding which we had not been warned about. We struggled to park our car and had to squish it in to a small gap which we were worried we would find damages, the music was 'thud thud thud' from the wedding room even with all the windows closed, children were knocking our door and running off aswell as other children sat outside our room screeching till late. Had we been warned we may have booked somewhere else for some peace as we had booked the weekend away for a peaceful break.

Excellent hotel in good condition. Reception staff was cheerful and efficient. Good room full of interest and charm, it made us smile. Hotel dining room was very nice, the quality of the evening meal was superb and high quality as was the dining room staff. Very happy to stay here again.

Quiet Retreat
It was a quiet get away for myself and my wife. The property was lovely and the bed was comfy. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay- staff were very friendly and helpful.Our room was dog-friendly and therefore quite basic.Very comfortable bed, room and bathroom very clean.Room cleaned to a very good standard daily. Restaurant serves lovely food at usual hotel prices. Excellent continental breakfast.

Have been a guest at a wedding and last stayed here 5 years ago. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. But sadly the main interior and bedrooms haven’t changed, look a little worse for wear and could do with being completely refurbished. Food was ok, but menu not particularly exciting. A shame as a lovely building and location deserves better.
