About this property

Secluded and Cozy Lake House/Farmhouse on 40 acres with a 13 acre private lake

This secluded country Lake house is located approximately 55 minutes from historic downtown St. Charles and 70 minutes from downtown St. Louis with many attractions close by. The home is out in a rural area, with a scenic 13-acre acre private lake located right outside your door. The lake is stocked with bass, blue gill, and crappie. The Cuivre River runs the length of the property on one side.

If you're not a fisherman, you can sit on the new deck or down at the boathouse and watch the Eagles or Canadian geese that frequent the lake and river year round. You will be sure to spot a deer as well as many other wildlife.

The new large deck is partially covered allowing for use regardless of the weather. We have comfy patio furniture and a gas fire pit for relaxing and star gazing. The house has four large glass panes which are a part of the sliding glass door that opens onto the deck with a beckoning view of the lake. Wildlife is abundant throughout the property, including eagles, Canadian geese, wild turkeys, hawks, deer, beavers, and occasionally quail. There is a charcoal grill on the patio. In addition, there is a fire ring down by the lake so that you can make authentic S'mores or gaze at the stars.

This cozy lake house includes a large eating/dining area with a dining room table as well as a bar and four stools. There are gorgeous hardwood floors throughout. The full-service kitchen includes a refrigerator/freezer, electric stove, microwave, and coffee maker. The master bedroom has a queen size bed. The 2nd bedroom includes a double size bed with a form-fitting foam mattress and a picture window that overlooks the lake. The 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed and a single bed. The home has both central air conditioning and heating for your comfort, as well as a gas fireplace in the living room.

Come stay on our farm where you can unwind at our lake house and enjoy fishing, hiking, canoeing, and more!

There is a dvd player with dvds, games and cards to play, books to read, as well as a Roku TV. Note: There is no wifi. This is truly a place where you can unplug from it all. Although you should have cellular service if you must browse the internet.

Take a trip to town (only 4 miles away) to get your groceries or dinner at one of the many restaurants.

Cuivre River State Park is only 13 miles away which also offers fishing, swimming, and boating on Lake Lincoln. The park’s wild and natural areas provide hiking, backpacking, photography and wildlife observation activities.

Other nearby attractions include wineries, antiquing, caving, hiking, and floating.

Wake turned great vacation!!
We had to be in Troy Mo for a funeral/celebration of life event. Under the best circumstances not a fun experience. Because of the Farmhouse and lake we actually had a spectacular vacation. We unplugged, spent time together as a family catching fish, riding our four wheeler that we brought with us, and sitting by a campfire. We loved it! My family and I will be back!

Quiet, beautiful farm
We enjoyed our stay at the farm with the private lake for 3 days. It was a secluded , roomy and felt just like home. The patio was perfect for morni g coffee and evening sunsets watching the geese fly by. We spent time here with mom for mothers day and it was perfect. It had all the necessary that we needed and quiet hustle and bustle of life thanks for a wonderful weekend getaway. We got fish while there. Yahoo

Weekend trip
We enjoyed our weekend at this lovely home! Quiet and peaceful with a nice view of the lake! Tastefully decorated reflecting the country/lake location. Clean, well maintained home, with comfortable beds, and a well stocked kitchen! Deck was nice to relax on, as well as at the boat house by the lake. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful get-away location!
This is a beautiful property! It's very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of space for the 6 adults we had staying there. The location is perfect to be out in the country, but close enough to town, if you need to go get something or to shop. The owners were super friendly and left us some thoughtful gifts. It was fun to have access to a paddle boat and canoes for the lake. It was perfect for our girls weekend/college roommate get-together!

Fantastic weekend getaway 1 hr. from St. Louis
Cozy farmhouse with cabin-y vibe situated on a beautiful piece of property with a lake. Comfortable beds, roomy living room, gas fireplace, gorgeous views, charming and clean. This is a place for a getaway in any season: snuggling in front of the fire in winter, watching the trees leaf out in spring, fishing or canoeing in the summer. Generous deck, lakeside boathouse, and lots of other comfy spots to hang out—indoors and outside. We'll definitely be back.
