Renovated hotel, surrounded by shops & restaurants
The lobby area was under renovation but the room was remodelled. However, the air-con. was obiviously a pretty dated one so it made loud noises even though it was turned off. It was freezing cold even it was adjusted to 74°F ( most same level hotel has room temp controlled & it's usually not cold enough regardless of how low you adjust the temp.)the room was unbearably cold. Luckily the room was still cool even it was turned off. So, didn't complain. There are many chain restaurants apart from the usual fast food chain & Target is right around the corner. And chain stores are also within 10 min drive. For convenience & hotel professional front desk, cleanliness, it'd be 5 star-plus. Reason for this 4-star rating is due to the air-conditioning. But will def. stay again.

The bathroom was not fully cleaned. It wasn't dirty, but a few things had obviously been missed. Outside that the room was nice, the breakfast was good, and generally met all my expectations.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Especially at check in and at breakfast. Grandchildren enjoyed pool and breakfast options. Appreciated option of no room service but able to get extra towels etc. Room was fine but time on clock hadn't been changed since daylight savings time over and one light out in bathroom which I think could have been fixed before we arrived. Only unfortunate event was a very large loud group came into property close to midnight and was disturbing. That's probably difficult for a limited late night staff to handle but was excessive. There was a group in a large bus staying over Saturday night so assume from that group but not certain.

I have already advised the hotel, however they need to look into the chemicals for the hot tub. I wasn't able to enjoy without the chemicals burning my eyes. It was so strong. I was the 2nd person to have the same issue that evening. She was already sitting on the edge to still try and relax.
