Across from Saguaro National Park (East)

Wake up to the Sanoran Desert in the middle of 7.4 acres. Pour yourself a coffee and watch the sunrise over the Rincon Mountains and 550,000 acres of wilderness. Take off for a day of exploring. Tucson offers well over 100 miles of paved, mostly level bike paths in and around town and countless more challenging rides and unending single track trails. When you're tuckered out, head back to your casita for a hot shower, pour a drink, and sit on the West side of the house and watch the sunset over the Tucson Mountains. Put a match to the fire in the chiminea and you'll warm up as the desert cools down. A good night's sleep in the cozy casita and you'll be ready for more adventures!

A cozy little casita! Host Ali and Dick were so accommodating and had lots of tips on what to see in the area. The location was close to so many great points of interest. The property was very comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed days on the go and relaxing nights by the fire. A great little getaway that’s perfect for couples.

Great Getaway!
We're new to AZ and this was our first venture out to explore this wonderful state. We chose this VRBO due to it's proximity to several sites we wanted to see in the Tucson area. The accommodations were excellent and the hosts are really fun folks..well traveled, very talented and fun to visit with! The casita was as advertised..very quiet, beautiful grounds and very comfortable. One thing to note is that there is no TV..however, the internet is fast and we were able to catch a couple of movies on our iPad so it wasn't a problem. Overall, we would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again if in the area!

Good location
We wanted a place near friends that live in Tucson, and near the Saguaro NP - this was a great location. The little garden around the entrance was a nice touch. Watching the sunset off the back porch was great.

Travels to the Saguaro Casita
Oh, what a find! This lodging is magical, and the hosts are sooo accomodating. Truly, the casita is one of the most comfortable lodgings we have ever stayed at. The bed was very comfortable; the shower was just right with plenty of water. There are lots of materials in the casita with information about the area and Tucson, in general. Being located across the street from the Saguaro National Park (for all purposes, one is in the park) is a bonus. As a midwesterner, the casita's southwestern decor was beautiful. Over the entire property are native plants, nurtured and thriving. Both Ali and Dick, the hosts are captivating. We so enjoyed the opportunity to share sunsets with them. I would like to thank them once again for sharing their world and giving folks like us the opportunity to enjoy some time in the desert.

Saguaro Casita
Beautiful Casita next to Saguaro NP. The out of doors is spectacular but the Casita is also very comfortable to hang out in and outside. Dick and Ali are lovely hosts with lots of great ideas for places to hike, eat, and visit around Tucson and elsewhere in SE AZ. Will definitely stay there again!

Cozy desert retreat
This is a very delightful property on the outskirts of Tucson. Beautiful views of the mountains and amazing sunsets. Very comfortable accommodations for two people. We drove into Tucson a lot for golf, biking and visiting local taprooms. A fun, casual restaurant also is conveniently located just a couple miles away. It’s not within walking distance of any attractions but that is offset by the tranquil surroundings.

Captivating Casita
From the floral designs painted around the front door to the sunset views from the back patio, this is a perfect place for visitors to Saguaro National Park. And the hosts-- who live next door and who crafted the renovation of the casita-- are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Magical spot
Advertised as adjacent to the national park, it really should be considered an extension. Coming in, we turned down a short dirt road an into an oasis of Saguaro, ocotillo, cholla, and all sorts of other Sonoran desert flora. We were greeted by our hosts, who got us settled and guided us to a wonderful restaurant right down the road. The space was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our hosts were knowledgeable, clearly loved the land, and cared for their property. We would definitely plan a return.

Perfect
From the moment we turned down the dirt drive we were surrounded by what can best be described as a desert garden, and we knew this place would be special. Our original plan was to stay for 3 nights, but we loved it so much that we decided to stay for 6! The owners have obviously put a lot of love, care, and work into this home. They are warm, friendly, and very helpful. I am very glad we had the chance to meet them! The casita is charming and comfortable, and it was spotless when we arrived. The tile and woodwork are beautiful, the bed is comfy, and the views are amazing. There is a two burner stove that was just right for small meals for the two of us, and a grill outside. We did eat most meals out, there are numerous local restaurants within a 10 to 15 minute drive, and that gave us more time to enjoy the adventure and less time doing dishes. There are chairs on the flagstone patio both in front and back, the sunrises and sunsets are stunning, This is the perfect spot to enjoy the local wildlife while enjoying your morning coffee. There is also a chiminea here that we plan on enjoying at sunset tonight. The property is located across the stree from Saguaro National Park East, the gate is just down the road. My husband is an avid cyclist and loves to run, the opportunities for both here are amazing. The shoulders are wide and the bike paths and trails are fantastic. There are tons of hiking opportunites in the park, as well as other close-by areas. The night skies are clear and dark, perfect for stargazing, and I even managed photographs of the green comet C/2022 E3. We truly loved the peace and comfort of staying here. No doubt we will be back!

Casita at Saguaro with Alice and Richard
The Casita was perfect for Jack and me! Its decor was delightful, with very tasteful southwestern tiles and attractive furniture and wall art. And the outside was wonderful also - several acres of rolling desert with vegetation as varied as that in the adjacent National Park. And our hosts were really special also. Dick and Ali were kind, helpful, informative about the area, friendly and super fun to talk with. Their hospitality was truly excellent. We recommend the Casita very highly and hope to visit again sometime!
