It was good enough for what we needed.
Pros: The staff members were friendly. The breakfast was decent. The beds were comfortable. The location is convenient. No problems with room keys. Good price. Cons: Not sure how thorough the cleaning is as we saw someone else's leftover chicken wings in the fridge. :-/ But it wasn't filthy. The room we stayed in was a bit dated as the wall doorknob-stopper was loose and the caulk on the bath tub was a bit dark in spots. The air conditioning unit had a high pitched sound, so we just turned it off. There was also a high pitched whistling sound when the bathroom lights were on. Not a bad place though.

La Quinta Inn Stay in Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Check in was very easy. The staff was nice. The smoke detector kept chirping in the room and we couldn’t sleep. My spouse called the front desk and an employee said they would come up and fix it. They never came so she had to go down to the lobby and get an employee from the front desk to come up and fix it. We did not sleep comfortable in the bed. Breakfast was absolutely delicious! Checkout was very easy.

The property was very nice. Check in process was smooth. My only complaint is the noise from cars on the interstate and nearby roads throughout the night. If I’m town again I’m sure I would stay again.

Good hotel for the price. Friendly staff, decent hotel for the price. Room entrance through hallway, not to exterior. Heated pool with spa— decent condition (fine for young kids who just wanna swim). Spacious room.

Comfy Enough!
Overall my stay was fairly decent just a couple of things that could have made it better. 1. The time it takes to get your deposit back is absurd, it should never take 10 days for that. 2. The pillows were soft but too small for a king size bed. 3. Having an ice machine on every floor, but making them inoperable forcing guests to use the one in the lobby is an inconvenience ,especially if you need ice in the middle of the night. 4. There should be vending machines with soft drinks and snacks on every floor for convenience. The market in the lobby is okay, but the prices are elevated and it’s not easily accessible if you just need a cold drink. 5. The fridges in the rooms have a freezer section but it doesn’t freeze or keep items close to frozen. 6. The breakfast is fairly decent, but it would be nice to have regular scrambled eggs and not that egg casserole as it has too many items in it. It would also be great if they added an additional waffle making station (as that is the most popular station). The change to patty sausage over link sausage would be an improvement as well. A lactose free milk option would be great for breakfast as well (I had to buy my own from the store and use during my stay and ultimately had to throw it away at checkout). 7. The windows that face the interstate could stand to be double glazed or something to deaden the road noise of the cars accelerating on the on ramp. 8. More towels and washcloths in the rooms as well as shower gel/soap.
