Peaceful Cottage on Lake Michigan

Spring is here at our peaceful cottage on the Lake Michigan shoreline!
Book now to relax and enjoy this beautiful time of year around the waters and changing forest at our vacation property set up for two.

Enjoy solitary beach access right from the backyard, explore and search for beach glass, fossils, rocks and yooperlights at your own leisure! Out of the front yard has direct access to over 10 miles of meandering trails in the Raur West Forest to hike, bike or ski.

Just a short drive of under 5 minutes to access the Point Beach State Forest with miles of walking trails, well maintained bike trails and rustic ice age trails.
Cottage is a 7-mile short trip to Two Rivers through the forest to the grocery, restaurants, and groomed beaches.

The cottage is always very well maintained, we keep the place top notch clean and always try to provide the needed essentials for your stay. Including a food pantry with essentials and snacks. And a stocked refrigerator with all unopened new essentials for your stay. Bathroom is stocked as well with towels and all cleaning essentials.

The cottage is set back down a long blacktop driveway from a low traffic road and is one of the last few true quiet places around that will provide a wonderful relaxing stay all to yourselves. With the large yard overlooking the lake you will be able enjoy everything it has to offer while BBQing, having a outdoor picnic, outdoor games, and our new addition for this year a propane fire pit on the back deck.

All we ask is that you try to keep the place clean and have a great time! There is no hidden fees or cleaning fees or chores to do except wash your dishes before leaving.

Lovely Place to Stay
This place was just as described. My husband and I loved sitting on the back deck, and enjoying the fireplace. This place was jam packed with little goodies and entertainment. I thought the little extra goodies were so thoughtful. We loved the record player. The beds and couches were firm but they supplied cushy throw blankets for guest use.

We love coming back to this place to enjoy the quiet beach, wind in the pines or just relaxing inside reading our books on a couch. There's plenty to do in the area and it is close the town for any activities there although the highlight of our visits is being disconnected and relaxing together.

Cottage on the Big Lake
Very nice location with lots to do on and off site. Being on the lake is wonderful for swimming and relaxing. Point Beach State Forest is close and has a great bike trail. Dining options are plenty at the cottage or at area restaurants. We made cherry desserts from the cherries we picked in Door County. Russ and Levi are great at stocking the cottage to meet your needs. They are the best VRBO hosts that we have experienced! We plan on booking our 3rd stay at this property during 2025.

We booked this cottage for a little get a way to celebrate our 35th anniversary. The cottage was exceptionally clean and felt spacious even though listing stated 600+ sq feet. Perfect for the two of us. Although if you had a couple of kids, the loft would be great fun for them. The property owners thought of everything even extras “just in case” that included bug spray, umbrellas, toiletries and towels, even some basic essentials in the frig and pantry-new unopened items-not leftovers, and some delicious coffee! There were games, balls, pac man video machine and a nostalgic record player with several LP’s to choose from.There were a couple bikes available but we brought our own and biked the trail through the forest/park into Two Rivers and back.The property was very private. Beautiful view from the overlook and easy access to the beach. Never saw anyone. LP fire pit on deck added a nice ambiance. Perfectly located to drive into town or down to Manitowoc. Recommend looking up the visitors guide online for ideas of things to do. We stumbled on to the classic car show, went antiquing, biking, viewed 2 light houses, went to vineyard/winery, checked out a couple bars/pubs, visited the maritime museum an overall relaxing time in a beautiful area. If you like the view and sound of the water- this place is perfect location to just chill or explore the area. Property owners very easy to communicate with and by far the most welcoming vacation rental we’ve stayed at. Would come back.

We've stayed before and have touched on the wonderful details. This trip for us was needed and rejuvenated us. In addition to the owners being the most generous people who truly care, we needed the ambiance of the cottage. If you are familiar with "mindfulness" you have what you need. The smell of the coffee, the waves crashing the beach, the wind whistling thru the trees, the warm fire and extra food treats all allow you to relax and spend undistracted time together. We loved it here! First off the hosts were amazing. The property is absolutely beautiful! We saw a herd of deer, a fox den, heard a fox, found some cool rocks, looked at the stars and really enjoyed our time. Highly recommend this beautiful getaway!!
We can’t even begin to say how much we enjoyed our relaxing stay at this beautiful property. It was so nice from start to finish. The hosts were extremely fast and helpful with communication. They offered us to check in early and check out late. The view of Lake Michigan through the pine trees was amazing. The sound of the waves, the lovely beach. Nice trails. The property was well maintained and very clean. All of the amenities were such an extra as well. Snacks, beverages, and even a birthday dessert for my husband. We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, outdoor propane fire, and even played video games and rode the bikes We plan to visit again next year!

Second Time Staying Here and Already Planning On Our Next Stay There
Since this was our 2nd time staying here we had planned on going out to explore the surrounding cities. But as soon as we walked into this cottage we remembered how peaceful it is there, so we only left the cottage twice to pick up some food at the grocery store. If you are looking for peace and quiet to decompress from everyday life this is the cottage to stay at! You’ll feel like you are in the middle of a forest but with a very short walk to the beach in which you will feel like the only people there most of the time. The cottage is very clean - the bathroom is large with a nice large shower and the mattress is very comfortable (not too hard and not too soft). Also the owners are very nice and respond quickly to any of your questions.

It was a very cozy place to stay, and we appreciated the effort that the owners put into ensuring it would be a pleasant stay (e.g. the house was very clean, it was stocked with food and drinks, and it had pamphlets/magazines with information on activities available at the property and nearby towns). Wonderful Experience
This is the first time we had stayed at a vacation rental, and this property and the whole experience provided by the host far exceeded our expectations! The cottage is modern, super clean and thoughtfully well stocked, as well as being perfectly located - far enough to be secluded but close enough for a short drive to Two Rivers. The pictures don't do justice to the gorgeous beach stretch and the lovely forest trails you can walk. One thing to note: mobile data on T-Mobile network can be a bit spotty but workable, and there is no wifi. This wasn't an issue for us, but just wanted to mention for any future guests. We can't speak highly enough of the hosts - Russ and Levi were fantastic with communication both before our trip and during, answering all our questions. Thank you guys for providing us this wonderful place to enjoy our anniversary getaway!

A spotless, comfortable, beautifully decorated cabin in the woods, leading to a very private Lake Michigan beach. Thoughtful and delightful added touches that included man drinks, snacks, food staples, toiletries and entertainment. Excellent cabin and location.
My wife and I stayed at Russ’s cabin on a weekend escape. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well-stocked. You could quite literally come with almost nothing except clothes and feel at home. The cabin is located on Lake Michigan, there was a strong breeze during our stay and the sound of the waves was very relaxing and easily audible from the cabin kitchen and living room. A short walk through a beautiful stand of red pines leads you to a picnic table on a bluff above the beach, and another short walk on well-marked trails takes you down to a very private stretch of beach. We spent most of the afternoon on a Saturday lounging on the beach and saw only two other people at a distance. There is excellent hiking immediately across the street and down the road at the nearby Point Beach State Forest. Our only complaint is that the weekend went too fast! We would definitely stay again! The area is very quiet and perfect for a quick break from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Anniversary Getaway
Once again our time was special! Every time we stay, we go home relaxed, reconnected and rejuvenated. Every need is met at this property and the owners truly care! The beauty can't be put into words.
