Very nice hotel, everything was very clean except some areas on the carpet by the bed.. I just noticed while l was looking around.. but the room had a nice view and very peaceful and relaxing I definitely will stay there again when I come back to Mineola.

Check in was very easy. Staff was nice! The only slight complaint I have is the paint in the bathtub was peeling. Everything else was fine. Would definitely consider going back.

The room was clean, front desk and other staff were great and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great. Grounds at the front are nice. The problem comes from behind the property. This is an older property with rooms on the first floor opposite the main entrance that are very musty, with a view of an old, tilting-at-the-top retaining wall covered with green algae and a muddy, musty, algae-growing narrow, approximately 6-8 foot, alley just under that retaining wall. The air conditioning is pulling in mucky-smelling moisture from that alley. The first room assigned was very strongly smelling of mold. So we asked for a different room. The second room was a little better, but became more musty on this rainy weekend. I have asthma and am allergic to mold. I would not stay here again. However, it may be that rooms on the front side of the building or on the higher floors are fine. Don't know. Hotel was fully booked and we were only offered a different room on the first floor at the back with the alley outside the window.

At check in, I had a reservation, said was pet friendly, pets under 20#’s free, I read that on hotel.com, booked it, get to BW Mineola, I am charged $50 plus tax! For my 2 @ 8 #’s..small Bostons. Asked guy @ checkin, stated policy, did not give a snit, one way or other! Well, we get to room, settling in, we pull our shoes off, our socks are sticking to the carpet, lmao! We said that’s what we get for trying to check in early, we had to keep our shoes on, spread towels by bedside and in front of chair, we kept asking for more towels@lol. Yeah, next time we visit family, we won’t be staying with Best Western Mineola on 100 Debby Lane!! Positive side, we hung with two roadrunners around their shrubs, they do not like bread, dog food yes! Beautiful birds
