Communications and Expectations
The day before we arrived we where asked via text if we need linen and towels. We said yes. The evening we arrived no towels or linen. We called the concierge contact he said sorry and he could not make it that evening so no sheets or towels, but next morning he will come early. So after a long day we had no linen. He did not make it next morning either, we sat all morning waiting, so I bought towels and we went about our day. That evening there where towels and sheets available at the door. So the next day we are traveling in the region and get a call that the concierge is at the house waiting to be paid for the linen. One, we where an hour away, two why would you just show up to the house looking for money, three I didn't know we needed to pay for linen. So we told him we where enjoying our vacation and would talk later. That evening he showed up at the house. He wanted his money for linen, 90 Euros, I was not happy to pay for something we didn't have for 2 days of our stay, he went down to 40 Euros, I just wanted it to be over, so I said OK here is my card. He said no card cash only, I thought that was strange. So I gave him 50 Euro, he said he had no change and would bring 10 euro change in the morning, he never did. This entire inter- action was very strange and didn't seem legitimate.
