Anahata is dedicated to peace and healing, located at the end of a private farm road. There is space to roam and animals to greet. Please read the full listing prior to booking to ensure that this is the right place for you. For more pics, check out our Insta @anahatafarm. NO third-party bookings - please do not book this room unless you will be the one staying here. All are welcome here.
You'll stay in the Hunt Box over the barn. It's a private, quiet studio apartment with a comfy queen bed that is open and bright, with views of the back pasture. The studio has a full kitchen and a private bathroom with shower and tub. This is a private guest suite in our home and does not have a private entrance, however, it is located in the guest wing over the barn and accessed from the shared foyer entrance which is separated from the main house by a pocket door that always stays closed. In short, you will not be walking through the main house as you come and go. Most guests find this private enough.
Please note: If you have ALLERGIES to cats, dogs, or horses this is NOT a good place for you to stay! Please do not book. We want you to be happy, and safe.
Guest Access
Guests have their own private space. They are free to wander the property, including the barn. Enjoy time out on the deck in the Peace Garden, a new outdoor space that overlooks the lower pasture and gets great afternoon sunlight.
Guest horses are also welcome to stay for $35/night which includes a stall and/or turnout. $10 per bag of shavings. There are incredible trails all around the neighborhood, including access to the 4,000-acre Walthour-Moss Foundation, and if we plan it right, I can show you around. I have room for up to two overnight horses. Please send an inquiry before you book if you'd like to bring horses, to confirm availability.
Things to Note
Cell reception here is not great — Verizon works better than AT&T. Our wifi can handle web browsing, email, and messaging and is moderately reliable for video streaming. Think of this as a place to disconnect.
Well behaved dogs are absolutely welcome here. My two “Carolina ditch dogs” have become wonderful canine hosts and have not met a 4-legged friend they don’t like (except for moles) and they are always off leash on the property. If everyone gets along, you are welcome to let your dog off leash outside, however please be aware that I can’t guarantee that the horses won’t kick when chased. Dogs MUST be crated in the room if you leave the property without them. I have an extra-large crate you are welcome to use— let me know. If you are bringing a pet, please add them to the listing, as there is a $50 pet fee.
