Our property is situated in a panoramic position on the lagoon and is convenient to all services towards the center of Venice to the islands of the estuary as Torcello and Burano. The newly built house has an apartment with a spacious and elegant living room-kitchen, a double bedroom a twin room and a bathroom. In the living room is a comfortable sofa bed for two children a 32-inch satellite TV and a kitchen complete with oven, refrigerator and freezer. The apartment is air conditioned and the living room leads to the large garden in front of the lagoon where you can have breakfast or dine quietly, there is also a barbecue with the agreement that you can use. The room has a wardrobe and a dresser with 6 doors, the bathroom has a shower, bidet and hair dryer. The apartment is 5 minutes walk to all points of interest such as: supermarkets, Coop and Despar, boarding for each destination, the glass museum, the Basilica St.Donato of the 7th century, church of St.Pietro with great paintings.

Quiet retreat on Murano
This is a lovely and reasonably well-appointed apartment looking right out over the lagoon. We had been traveling for weeks and really enjoyed having a quiet place to regroup. While the host is fairly particular about the property, this means it is well maintained and very clean.

Ideal location
We were impressed with the apt. It was as nice as the photos showed. Ideal location for local shops and restaurants. Short walk to the water bus to explore Venice and return to quiet of Murano. We were puzzled that even though we rented a 2 bedroom apt , we only had access to one bedroom. We were hoping to use the second bedroom that we paid for. I do recommend this rental to anyone staying in Murano.

This is a beautiful property on the canal, with a nice view on the water. The apartment is on the ground floor. It has a living room-dining room-kitchen. Fully equipped for long and short stay. In the back, there is a bedroom and a bathroom. A connecting door to a second bedroom exists. The owner is a painter, so all walls are decorated with his painting. Nice piece of arts. It is about a 15 min. walk from the center of activity. A resident can eat outside in the garden. We appreciated the stay except that the day of check out the owner was pressing us to leave before 10:00 a.m. because he had some schedule constraints. Murano is a quite island and very quiet during evening and nighttime. But the people of the island are nice and helpful. We highly recommend the stay in this apartment.

Great place!
Very clean and great location. The artwork in this home was very nice and the owner was very helpful. You can walk to a supermarket, glass shops and the water taxi. Beautiful view of the water. I would stay again!

The quiet location away from crowds is appreciated. The apartment has everything we needed to make meals, and relax after our busy day in Venice. We enjoyed Murano, as it is less crowded, and a short vaporetto ride away from Venice. Giampaolo, our Italian host, was gracious & communicated with us as best he could, as he states "he has limited English", but we were fine with his English. He is a famous artist, and we enjoyed his art throughout our stay, as he has decorated the apartment with his oil paintings & glass art. Just a note to those who book for 2 people, you either get one bed to share, or you need to book for three people to get the extra beds in the 2nd room, or pay upon arrival additional euros per night. And remember to pay the Italian tax of 4 euros per person per night in cash during stay.

Little paradise on Murano
My mother and I stayed at Giampaolo’s place for three nights. We arrived quite late the first night, but Giampaolo stayed up to greet us and let us in to the residence. He also gave us helpful advice for the vaporetto. Giampaolo was very helpful throughout the stay. The residence itself is very beautiful, the garden is filled with lovely roses and the residence is filled with amazing artwork all done by Giampaolo himself. It’s a wonderful and peaceful place to come back to after being in Venice during the day. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook for a long stay. We will certainly try to stay here again when we go back to Venice. Hopefully for more than 3 nights!

Excellent property, away from the bustle of the main island and located overlooking the lagoon. Two supermarkets within walking distance, 2 minutes walk to the vapperato (water taxi/bus) and restaurants and bars) Giampaulo is helpful and discreet.

Home away from home
We had a wonderful stay in this spotless, well appointed property. It has all the amenities needed to be able to stay in and cook and a wonderful outdoor space along the canal to relax in. I really appreciated the outdoor clothesline, laundry can be slow to dry on a rack indoors. An extra bonus was that the apartment was tastefully decorated with the very talented hosts artworks. One of the best apartments we have stayed in for our travels in Italy.

Beautiful Murano Apartment
We enjoyed our stay at a beautiful, spacious apartment which is private from the owner’s home. The owner accommodated myself and my daughters last minute and also let us extend our stay. He was also helpful in recommending the Actv lines to Murano and the airport. The apartment is truly special-it has everything you need to feel comfortable and at home and a beautiful water front location. and garden. The bonus is it is decorated with original art and murano glass so you really feel immersed in the artistry of the region. This apartment is a gem and Murano is such a great place to stay to visit Venice and the islands. Thank you to the owner and his wife!

Quiet relaxing
We spent 3 days on Murano, Giampaolo and his lovely wife are the perfect hosts. The apartment was very clean and well stocked , a very comfortable space surrounded by some of Mr Ghisettis own artwork , very nice to come back to after battling the crowds in Venice. Lovely apartment perfectly located
If you want to skip the crowds and love more like a local then this is the place for you. We loved the peacefulness and the fact that we felt like residents of Venice. The best part was taking the vaporetto to and from Venice proper. It was awesome to be able to spend so much time.on the water seeing Venice from a completely different angle. The apartment is a good size with a comfortable bed and a nice shower. The hosts wife was most helpful especially when we wanted to do a bit of washing. All in all a wonderful place to stay we really loved it

Misleading Listing
The VRBO listing has some amenities listed that are just not true. The listing states there is a washing machine. It does not, however, indicate that the machine in the host's house (attached to the unit) and that the wife (who appears to not speak a word of english) doesn't want you touching her machine. The listing says there is air-conditioning. It does not, however, mention that only one half of the unit has functional a/c, while the other half has been out of commission for at least 3 months. The listing says there is a boat. It does not, however, mention that said boat belongs to the owner and is "not for the guests". There are other listings on Murano for the same price, and they are bigger, and might not be quite as misleading. Positive note: The owner is a prominent artist. The unit is filled with paintings and glasswork created by Mr. Ghisette and they are wonderful. :)

This is the place to stay.
We loved our stay on this island because it was not as busy but you can easily get to other islands without much of a hassle. There is a vaporetto station nearby (within a 5 minute walk) we used to get to both Burano and Venice. The house was clean (smelled lovely), well maintained and had all we needed for our stay. There was an added tax payment we had to make when we arrived (warned by of this by another tenant’s review), so expect that. Overall, a great place and we would stay there again.

Beautiful apartment very comfortable. I highly recommend that if you can to stay here.
The apartment was very clean and well kept. Mr. Ghisetti is a very talented artist and has a lot of his works on display throughout. The apartment is a short distance from the Venier ACTV stop which makes it very convenient to visit the Venetian Archipelago. (Get at least the day pass. We got the 72 hour pass that worked perfectly.) Both Mr. and Mrs. Ghisetti were very helpful and patient with us as we communicated with a mix of English, Italian, and hand gestures. We will definitely try to rebook here for our next venture to Venice.

Love this place, it has all you need for your adventure around Venice & the islands. Clean & well kept beautiful artwork by the owner all around the apartment plus a smart looking kitchen, very comfortable bed. Staying here was a great experience! The home is just as you see in the pictures. It is clean and very comfortable. The owners live there and are very kind. You will need to familiarize yourself with the water bus schedules before arriving because they can be confusing and please note that stores typically close around 6 p.m. You will not be disappointed here!

An amazing place to stay in Venice/Murano
My husband and I spent a lovely four nights in Giampaolo's apartment on the island of Murano. We explored many of the nearby islands as well as Venice itself thanks to a water bus (vaporetto) pass. But to be honest, I looked forward to the evenings when we'd return to the apartment and watch the sun set over the water. The apartment had everything we needed and my husband and I agreed that the bed was one of the most comfortable we'd ever slept in! I highly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a quiet respite from the busyness of Venice and a good homebase for your exploration of the area.

Beautiful Apartment !
You cannot fault this apartment for space/cleanliness/comfort BUT I have dropped 1 star for a few reasons, which do not detract from the apartment itself. I had looked online & saw that it was a 2 bedroomed apartment, a double bedded room & a twin bedded room. I made the booking on the basis that I would either be travelling with my daughter or possibly my son. I had seen that for 2 people you were supposed to use 1 room or the other but thought that either would be available to use - this proved not to be the case. Only the double bedded room was made ready (not ideal even with my daughter & definitely not had it been myself & my son !). The twin room is accessed through the double room & can be locked & isolated from the rest of the apartment, something which wasn't clear. We arrived quite late & felt really bad that Mrs Ghisetti had to make up the twin beds for myself & daughter - it is obviously more comfortable to have your own bed rather than share a double when it's warm. On that note, the air con is only available in the living area, not the bedrooms, where it is probably most needed but in June, we were OK. There were loads of random books available but nothing about places to eat/boat times etc. There was an Aliliguna timetable but not the ACTV one (I suspect someone had taken it out with them & not put it back). We spent time using the 4.2 route to St Mark's Sq (nearly an hour) when we could have got a number 7 boat from Murano Faro (15 mins walk) which was way quicker & more direct. It took another tourist staying in Venice itself, who we met on a food tour, to inform us of that. Murano is very sleepy & not particularly geared up for tourists - restaurants are spaced out on the Island & don't stay open very late at all. In fact we went out on the 2nd night at 20:30, having been out all day, so thought that time was fine to go out for a meal & struggled to find somewhere to serve us by 21:00, as the majority of restaurants had stopped taking food orders & seem to close altogether by about 22:00hrs. This would have been very useful to know. Also, beware that you are woken up by clanging church bells by 7:30am, whether you like it or not. The apartment was totally as per the pictures, with gorgeous pieces of art which I was terrified of breaking ! Mrs Ghisetti was lovely & gave us some delicious homemade cake for our breakfast, as we arrived too late for the supermarket. This is a fantastic apartment which I would recommend.

A lovely Venice retreat
Venice is packed with tourists. This is a great place to retreat to and feel like a local. The other islands and airport are just a short ferry ride away. The art on display in Burano, including Giampaulo's, of course, is amazing. Giampaulo was very accommodating, and we enjoyed our stay.

The appartement was absolutely beautiful next to the water in a calm environment on Murano. Getting to Venice from the house was extremely easy. Giampaolo was a great host, very sweet and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

Perfekter Urlaub
Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Giampaolo ist ein sehr zuvorkommender Vermieter und hat uns bei Fragen immer sofort geholfen und sich gekümmert. Sehr genossen haben wir den Garten mit Blick auf den Kanal und die Ruhe. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in einem sehr ruhigen Venedig!
