Casa del Sole Bed & Breakfast - Panoramic loft in Venice city center

Attic of 45 mt2 full of sun and light, the top floor of a Venetian building of 1925, with a wooden terrace and unparalleled views of the city. It can accommodate two to four people with double bed to mirrors in the attic room and comfortable sofa bed for two more people in the living area, even if Sergio and Flavia prefer only accommodate two people or families of three / four people, in fact we prefer NOT accept two couples as the loft is small and with little privacy for four adults. Breakfast is included and self, my wife Flavia will you find in house, coffee, tea, herbal teas homemade jam, butter, bread, rusks and biscuits, yogurt and fresh fruit, and finally an aromatic Homemade brandy. Casa del Sole is equipped with private bathroom with toilet & shower & bidet, hair dryer, various soaps and courtesies bath, heating, air conditioning, Internet access with free WiFi and computer station, satellite TV Flat Screen International with more than 500 channels World accessible, Dolby surround System Sereo, small art historical library with books and guides in various foreign languages, board games and a free city map on arrival will be delivered with the most important information. In the small kitchen area is NOT allowed to cook with gas fire, but only heated foods with power tools, Microwave, Toaster, Refrigerator and Coffee machine / tea.
Casa del Sole with separate entrance, is located on the top floor but no elevator, just above our apartment where we live and thus guaranteeing our constant presence in case of further needs and / or information; still in full output range and return dates with keys provided to the Guests,
The attic is very quiet and allows you to enjoy the bright Venetian dawns on you prepared for a breakfast on the terrace, to the sound of the bells of nearby churches ... and especially the beautiful sunsets to enjoy dining by candlelight or just sipping a glass of good wine.

What an amazing view.

Fantastic Apartment
Despite the four flour walk-up, I would stay in this apartment anytime. The hosts were welcoming and helpful. The apartment was clean with so many extra touches for our comfort. The view from the terrace is breathtaking - either with breakfast or a final glass of wine at sunset. The breakfast options were great!

Our stay at Casa del Sole was wonderful! Flavia greeted us and explained everything. The apartment was spotless and she provided more breakfast foods/coffee/ homemade jam/ fresh fruits than we could use during our stay. The location is quiet but an easy walk to everything. Three Perfect Days in Venice
This was an absolutely lovely, spacious flat with a stunning view from the rooftop terrace. Sergio and his wife were outstanding hosts and had all kinds of little goodies on hand, such as basic groceries and lots of toiletries, that you don't see in most Italian rentals. There are 79 steps up (not so pleasant when you're carrying your luggage), but when you're watching the sun go down from the deck with a glass of wine and a plate of salumi, you really don't care!

4 floors up the stairs was worth it for this delightful and colorful studio/apartment in Venice. The hosts were wonderful and thought of EVERYTHING!! Including adding their own touch such as providing their own apple marmalade on top of many other food items we would normally have to buy at a local market. The roof terrace is another great thing this place has and yes, it is close and walking distance to everything one would need to see in Venice.

We loved this place. It was quite spacious, an ideal location for many attractions and transportation in Venice, great terrace, hosts were very responsive before and during our visit. It’s on the 4th floor so requires walking up stair each day but we managed just fine! I highly recommend.

Casa del Sole was such a welcoming and cozy apartment. We absolutely loved our stay. Sergio and Flavia have thought of everything and we were very comfortable. We are very grateful to Flavia and Sergio for sharing their adorable apartment in Venice, Italy with us. Set in a tranquil and easily accessible neighborhood, the apartment is comfortable and beautifully prepared with every desired amenity. The rooftop balcony overlooks the historic city and provides the perfect space to start or end your day. Church bells gently ring in the distance, and the aromas coming from neighboring kitchens invite you to settle in. Inside, the large sofa, beautiful stained glass windows, and stocked kitchen were so comforting, it made us almost forget we weren’t in our own place! Thank you to our gracious hosts for making us feel so welcome.

Beautiful apartment with great space. The ceilings are low in spots so taller people be aware. My husband is 6'2 and had to duck a lot. The location is great. Just a couple minutes from San Marco and San Zaccariaa but quiet. The views from the incredible. Couldnt have asked for a better place to stay in Venice!

This was a lovely place right in the heart of Venice with an amazing rooftop terrace where we had the joy of listening to the church bells in all directions. The place was so clean and we had everything we could possibly need. They had all the little touches covered, from lovely breakfast items to toiletries etc. I would highly recommend this place!

Grandma’s attic
I need to begin by saying the husband is very sweet and kind. The wife got upset with us because we had the air conditioning too low. She also was upset when I pointed out that online it had “laundry” advertised as being in the apartment, but what it really was a self service laundry company down the block. The apartment is very tiny. I’m 5’4” and kept hitting my head on the beams in the kitchen. The bed is REALLY hard and when I said we needed the pull out sofa for my daughter, she said no. She said I had to tell them we needed the sofa bed before our stay. My daughter just slept on the couch. The room is clean, but seriously FIVE FLIGHTS OF STAIRS! Think about that before you book. It felt like you were living in grandma’s attic. At least four times she would come knocking on the door about different things. In America, bed and breakfast is very different. Here you have yogurt, fruit, toast and coffee/tea. All of it is DIY. I was used to a hot gourmet breakfast from a sweet inn keeper. I appreciated the location away from the crowds, but it’s a trek to bring your luggage in and out.

Amazing apartment
This is our second stay in this wonderful apartment. Sergio and Flavia are the perfect hosts and were very helpful with all the information they provided prior to our trip to Venice. The apartment is centrally located, exceptionally clean and has everything you need for a brilliant stay. The roof terrace is an added bonus with amazing views. We hope to return in a couple of years, as long as we are still able to climb the 79 stairs! We did make sure we only travelled with hand luggage for this trip! Thank you again for your hospitality and for allowing us to stay in the apartment longer than we should, due to our late flight. Sue & Brian

Amazing location, beautiful apartment, and friendly hosts!
We had an amazing time staying at this apartment! The hosts were super friendly and responsive; they were very gracious about meeting us late at night to get us checked in when our flight was delayed and we arrived later than planned. The apartment is beautiful and was very clean, well stocked with any items we might need during our stay and even a selection of breakfast items. I especially enjoyed taking my coffee up to the private rooftop terrace each morning, the view is incredible! The location is perfect, slightly away from the busier parts of Venice but still within a 10 minute walk of St. Marks square. There is a grocery store right around the corner that was very convenient and many good restaurants very close by. We loved staying at this apartment and would highly recommend it!!

Very pleasant, beautiful location
Make certain to let them know explicitly if you need to use the fold out couch. The apartment is up about 3 flights of stairs. It is comfortable for 2-3 people and has a nice aesthetic to it. The terrace on the roof has a wonderful ambience. Claudia is friendly. It is about a 30 minute walk from the train station.

Wonderful Venice apartment
We had a wonderful stay at this charming apartment. It has a unique style, is very clean and comfortable with a lovely roof terrace. Flavia was very welcoming and provided plenty of food for breakfast so we could make our own. The location is excellent as it’s walking distance to the airport water bus and ferry to Murano as well as St. Mark’s Square, Doges Palace etc. There are many great restaurants close by plus a supermarket round the corner. The apartment is located at the top of the building so you will need to be able to climb several flights of stairs. We absolutely loved Casa del Sole and highly recommend it.

Happy place
We stayed 3 nights. Check in was great. We arrived in Venice exhausted but felt very comfortable in the apartment right away. The owners live down one floor. No negative experiences during our stay. (We are tall and there are some low doorways and sections of low ceiling because it is the top floor, but no major bumps on the head.) The rooftop deck accessible from the apartment was absolutely great. Major historical sites are about a 10 minute walk. Breakfast foods were more than sufficient. All-in-all this is a good value. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who can climb the 79 steps.
