Aircon turned off for the season. Really?!?
The high point was that the staff was absolutely amazing. Friendly, helpful, efficient, and kind. The bad: Our room was hot and stuffy. When we asked at the front desk, we were told the air conditioning was shut off. (Why?!? We were given no reason.) Inside, it was 80 degrees and very humid. We tried sleeping with the window open, but the noise was so loud, being on the corner of the market, we could not sleep. When we asked for a fan, we were told there were none. This is why I give a poor overall rating, because while a nice place, with nice people, there was zero effort to make up more comfortable. I know there were empty rooms, yet we were not offered one. We weren't given a good explanation of why the aircon was turned off. Aren't the hotel staff aware of the discomfort of the shoulder seasons? Maybe not. I thought I read the hotel was family-managed, but yet I saw front desk employees leaving for the night. Isn't the Aircon being off a matter of flipping a breaker? I cannot imagine that they drained the pipes for winter when it was 80 degrees.... What I do know is that it was my first time in Venice, and I didn't sleep well or enjoy my visit because I could not get comfy. It was expensive and highly disappointing...

We knew exactly what we were getting: A quaint, well-located stay right in central Venice by the Rialto bridge. We chose the attic room and loved it. Make sure you're fit enough to carry the bags to the top, otherwise get a lower room. The staff are exceptional and pleasant. (I consider their pug the ultimate welcome!) Breakfast was excellent and the location was incredible. Great stay and thank you for making our Venice visit so wonderful.

We just love this hotel. It’s got that rustic vibe. Makes you feel like you’re in Venice a hundred years ago! And yet the bathroom and other amenities are excellent. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves the rustic style and the convenience of being right in the heart of Venezia!

The location of the property is good, easy to get to and lots of shops and food options available. The outdoor market is just around the corner. The water bus stop is very close. The breakfast was very good and the lady putting the food and cleaning the tables was very friendly and asked if we wanted any specialty coffee, it's included with breakfast. There were 3 people working at the front desk at different time, they were all very nice and helpful. The only negative thing is the noise from outside. There is a square outside and it was Saturday night. There were teenagers hanging around, drinking, smoking and making lots of noise. They left a lot of trash. Overall, it's a nice place to stay in Venice, just ask for a room not facing the square.

We loved that it was close to the market, grand canal and multiple eating places. The staff was great and the breakfast was good. It should be noted that we are an older couple and the 52 stairs leading to our room (3rd floor) were very hard to use after a full day of touring. Lugging out suitcases downstairs in the early morning was very hard also. The hotel suggested a porter service but we were unable to contact them.

Very friendly and professional staff who clearly take the business seriously. The 24/7 front desk staff are very helpful. The team who serve the hot and cold breakfast are extremely efficient (good breakfast). We weren’t keen on the shared bathroom (made a mistake booking that) but at least it was only shared by two rooms (not like a whole dorm) and our room had a nice big sink, hairdryer etc., so that helped. The bed and pillows are really uncomfortable. It was loud outside at night but not dangerous, just annoying drunks leaving a late night bar and hanging out in the piazza by our window. Bring earplugs- we always carry ours and they helped. Temp control in the room wasn’t working.

The hospitality at this hotel made us feel right at home. Upon arrival, they welcomed us warmly and even gave us great advice on places to visit. On the day we were leaving, we had to head out early and couldn't make it to breakfast, but they kindly offered to prepare a food bag for us at the time we needed. They also offered us great coffee before we left. The staff were extremely friendly, and the overall experience was excellent. Not only did we feel welcomed, but the hotel is also very well located. The bathrooms are shared with another room but are very clean and modern, and we never had to wait to use them. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

The hotel is an old apartment building in Venice. No space for an elevator. The street the hotel is on is the width of a hallway in a house. They could make an effort to clean the walkway a bit.
