There was no lift in the building our rooms were located which was a great disadvantage and trouble for my elderly mother who found it difficult climbing up the stairs to our room. It was also a nightmare taking our luggages to and from our rooms whilst climbing up and down the stairs.

Awesome place
Distinguished looking place, but not easy to enter and the tiny cage-like lift to the 3rd floor reception was a bit scary for me and my daughter. We paid for 2 nights for 3 people but cancelled when we realised it was inaccessible for my husband. No refund was offered by the hotel so my daughter stayed one night in the 2 -bedroom suite and had to leave before breakfast began. As they profited from our expensive mistake, we thought a small refund would have been reasonable.

Enjoyed our Stay
We really enjoyed the stay. The room is nice, consistent with the old European style decor, not necessarily updated, but nice. Decent view of one of the smaller canals. Good breakfast. Although all rooms are right off the breakfast and reception area was something of a surprise, that was fine and would definitely stay again.

Palazzo living next to best cicchetti e bacaro
Great Location! No in the middle of mayhem,but close to everything, plus literally next to the best cichetti spot in Venezia, no seats, looks like and is a wine store, but dang the cicchetti are the bomb! Their marinated fried sardine with onion one was better than than the Sarde in Saor at a fancy, reservations only restaurant where it cost 10 times more. You must go. At the hotel the staff is super friendly (recommended the perfect walking tour and gave us a paper map right after we arrived).We splurged on a canal view room and it was a Venetian pallazzo dream cone true! We'll stay here again.

Great place to stay in the quieter area of venice and accessible to the main attractions and boat stops within 15-20mins walk. Breakfast was lovely and the staff offered fresh cappuccino every morning

Despite multiple escalations and complaints, the air conditioning never worked and the city was experiencing a temperature of 32 degrees celcious during the day with a heat index of 39 degrees, wich made almost impossible having a good sleep. They "fixed" the problem with a basic standing fan, wich clearly did not meet the minimuum expectations. We asked for a room change and they didn't even respond and the problem was never resolved.

Air conditioning was horrible, 2 separate buildings and no elevators which was horrible because of the amount of luggage we had. Would absolutely not recommend this hotel.

The air conditioning was out for 2 of the three days we were there and the hotel refused to take the calls from Expedia to negotiate a price reduction because of the inconvenience of our room being 85 degrees. We were offered a fan to use. There were no other options for us to be moved to during that time.

I did not like that we had to stay in another building when we checked in and was not advised when I booked the hotel. They also don’t have helpers to assist with luggage’s you have take them up the stairs yourself. There was no elevator in the other building I had to stay with my family. No AC on my room. Hotel pictures need to be updated.
