Find your home away from home with us in our charming 1400 square feet, two story home nestled in the historic Fostoria Neighborhood. We are super close to downtown, the military park, and Interstate but in a quaint residential neighborhood. The Cottage on Dewitt is centrally located and is located just around the corner from the beautiful Fannie Willis Johnson Home, also known as Oak Hall B&B. You can explore antique shops, museums, and national historic sites.
If antiques are your passion, we recommend a visit to The Open Market where you will find Wayne’s Antiques located inside along with a number of other vendors.
If museums and history are your passion, there are plenty to choose from. Some of our favorite museums are Vicksburg National Military Park, The Civil War Museum, the Lower Mississippi River Museum, the Old Depot Museum, the Southern Heritage Air Foundation, Catfish Row Museum, and the Old Court House Museum. You can’t miss going to see the historic Riverfront Murals painted on the river levee walls either.
You will want to check out some of the nearby restaurants, casinos and indulge in everything that the city has to offer. Here are a few of our favorite dining locations to choose from:
