MARINERS' COTTAGE- circa 1866 - TAKE A STEP BACK IN HISTORY ( With 21st Century comforts!) IN ONE OF THE ORIGINAL COTTAGES OF THE GOOLWA AREA... This beautiful stone cottage is pet friendly and is located in what is known as Little Scotland in the Goolwa community. Located in a quiet one way street, Mariner's Cottage offers a quiet retreat to relax with the township and wharf only a short walk away, this location offers the best of both worlds. ***Free Wifi and Netflix provided for guests The Goolwa Oval is located at the end of the street- Great for families! The back yard is a private, leafy, fully secure area and is large enough for a game of back yard cricket. A great area for all the family to enjoy. 1 x Queen size bed, 1 x queen bed, 1 x single bed .Pillows and doonas are supplied . Complimentary bed and bath linen. . Maximum capacity is four guests. Tea towels and bath mats are supplied. Reverse Cycle ( Heating and Cooling) SPLIT SYSTEM AIR-CONDITIONING as well as a GAS LOG FIRE and uniquely an heated outdoor shower is on offer to enjoy . Sit back, relax and enjoy the complimentary wine in the leafy green rear garden! Only a moment's walk to Hector's Restaurant on the wharf and the Whistle -stop Café as well as the Sunday markets at the Goolwa Wharf . It's only a short drive to the wineries at Currency Creek and to the beautiful coastal towns of Port Elliot, Middleton and Victor Harbor. Activities in and around Goolwa include swimming in the beautiful Goolwa Beach and hiring jet- skis and kayaks to enjoy on the Murray River. You can also go for a bike ride, jump on the Steamboat Oscar W or hop on the Coorong Cruise boat and visit the Murray Mouth and much more. Picnic basket, table tennis table , dart board, board games, DVDs and boogie boards available for guests of Mariner's Cottage. Enjoy the convenience of a cold or hot outdoor shower after a day at the beach! Other things to note... Attention to Detail
The cottage location is spot on for walking trips to the shops, local cafes and the wharf. The cottage itself has been beautifully restored with many original features to add to its charms. The attention to detail is what makes it stand out though, with lots of special touches to make your visit comfortable.

Super Snug historic cottage in perfect location
We had such a lovely long weekend at Mariner's Cottage. Our kids loved the ping pong table and yard (so did our little doggy). My husband and I loved the proximity to the cafes and Sunday Markets and it was really snug inside. Thank you for all the kitchen extras and just a really happy family stay. Katie

We had a lovely stay in this cute wee cottage, every convenience was available for our use. It is situated in a very handy location, within a nice easy stroll to town. The garden was peaceful and pretty to sit in. We would happuly stay again

A cute little cottage in the heart of Goolwa, the garden is amazing, so peaceful and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. We had a problem with the T.V. on Easter Friday and we rang the owners, who then turned up at 6pm that night with a replacement. (They had come from Adelaide) Thank you again.

Comfortable stay in a gorgeous cottage
Mariner's cottage is comfy and well appointed. It's walking distance to the Sunday Goolwa markets and the main street for cafes and dinner. Our 7 year old really appreciated all the toys in the third bedroom. The coffee machine came in handy and the air fryer would be great for a longer visit. We'd happily come back.

The cottage was extremely comfortable with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. It was spotlessly clean and a lot of thought had gone into making it a home away from home. Walking distance to the main street with great shops and eateries. Lots to see and do on the door step. Would definitely use this delightful cottage again. Absolute gem, so warm and inviting and comfortable, perfect.
The beds were warm and comfortable. The kitchen, bathroom and lounge were comfy, clean, and the owners left us a little welcome gift which was so thoughtful. They communicated well with us and we thought the property and our whole experience was perfect. So thankful to have stayed there, would definitely book again.

Beautiful Goolwa house
We enjoyed staying at the Mariner's Cottage. The house has lots of old character, but has been nicely renovated and styled beautifully. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed the spacious backyard, boogie boards, table tennis, outdoor shower and comfy beds. It's on a nice quiet street, while only a quick walk to the cafes and restaurants of Goolwa, and a short drive to the beach.

An absolute delight!
An absolutely delightful cottage with everything we could possibly need. Lovely garden with room for 2 boys to kick a footy, play table tennis and just chill! Everything close and loved that boogie boards were supplied! Thank you for a fabulous stay!! Highly recommend !
