-Ella Beach (shhhh this beach is a secret! Turn left after John Muir School on West Coast Road)

- Route 14 (chef created pub food and celebrated liquid fare - truly amazing but be prepared to wait in line any day of the week!)
- Hara Sushi (best in town and probably one of best in Victoria area)
- Teriyaki House (3 minutes from the house at the bottom of Sooke River Road - ask for Andy)

Village Food Market (best grocery store in town with in-house bakery, butcher department, etc)
Castle Liquor Store (cool, castle motel style on the other side of the bridge into town - very good selection and way cooler than the BC Liquor Store)

Outside of Sooke
Langford has every big box store you could ever need including:

Getting Around
The house is at the end of a 1km drive which does not have public transit. However, the main highway has reliable, regular service to anywhere in the greater Victoria area and is within 30 minutes walk from the house.
