This place is a hidden gem, if you like character and quaintness. Very much enjoyed the ambience with the wide stairs, stained glass windows and the colourful interior. It is not a luxury hotel, but it offered everything I needed in a unique atmosphere. I think I booked the smallest room this hotel offers, so there was no fridge, but there was an ice machine, which worked for me. This hotel was spotless and also one of the most affordable places I could find within walking distance of downtown Victoria. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Possibly the cleanest hotel room I've ever been in. Super friendly reception, bar and restaurant are great. Lots of parking. King size bed with 5 pillows- nice! Mini fridge in the room, no coffee maker but complementary a.m. coffee and tea in the lobby.

Charming heritage style hotel in the heart of James Bay . Super walkable to Ogden Point or downtown. Pub / restaurant found is delicious and reasonably priced and the friendly staff go out of their way to make sure that everything is to your satisfaction. Can’t wait to return.

I was in a petite room so I knew it would be small. The price was good. My only complaint was my bed (maybe other rooms are different), it was super hard and I didn’t sleep well because of that. Would I come back? Yes. I would go for a bet larger room but as I said, I booked it because of the good price. The staff were lovely, the neighborhood was great for walking. I enjoyed local small businesses. The restaurant part of the hotel is good. It caters to an older pallet but there were lots of choices. Again, the hotel is charming and old. It was clean and kept up. Couldn’t be nicer folks running it.
