I didn't like only one thing every day . The restaurant downstairs next to the lobby its an open area connecting to the lobby when I was there waiting for the elevator or talking with the concierge my hair, my coat was impregnable for the cooking smell. they need to have better extarctors in the cooking area . The hotel its very good , the roof have a good restaurant ,bar, nice pool and view.

The room was quite dusty, it was more apparent when we switched off/on the bedside table lamp, we could see dust flying around. Our noses quickly become stuffy whenever we were in the room. But I must say the room was overall clean. The room layout was also weird, basin and shower was positioned in the bedroom and toilet was in its own room. Hotel location was ok, about 15mins walk from the main sightseeing area and restaurants.

Our stay was, to say the least, disappointing. We arrived late in the evening, to a room that was so exceptionally cold the duvets were damp. The aircon had been left on full blast & the heating did not work. The Reception team were unable to operate the aircon, they just told us the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do apart from give us dry duvets. Had it not been midnight I would have left the hotel & found an alternative place to stay. The next morning we talked to the day team at reception, who explained that the room was freezing because the weather was neither warm nor cold and the aircon worked in sync with the weather. Neither my husband or I could quite follow the logic. It appears that either all the other guests enjoyed sleeping in a fridge or that no-one else was affected. It was quite obvious to us that the room was freezing because the aircon had been left on all day. We were finally moved to another room but only on request. Thankfully the temperature was pleasant. When we arrived back later that day a heater had been put in the room. I have no idea why the staff the night before couldn't have provided that. To add insult to injury when we checked out we were charged full price for both nights, even though I queried this. I rarely write reviews, but this was such bad service that I feel compelled to do so. I cannot recommend this Hotel Grand Ferdinand at all.

Great staff, great restaurants, amazing breakfast, area was great- very walkable. The rooms were a little small and we still did. Or have the smallest room. But the biggest thing was lack of storage in the rooms and we only had 2 carryons. No drawers and just very few hangers. Other than that we loved this place. Rooftop great. And gym well equipped with nice sauna and outdoor area.

Was in a good location for walking. Had to change rooms a couple times on checkin as the first one wasn’t quite finished being made up and right by the elevator. The second room was in the back 40 and was a smaller room and without a couch from what we had paid for so we moved to a 3rd room that was much better. Breakfast was nice. Also ate upstairs for dinner and it was good too. Pool was extremely cold which was very disappointing as we would have loved to use it but it was just too cold.

Great location and service
We really enjoyed this hotel. It was in a great location and very easy to walk to the museums and places we wanted to visit. The hotel staff were very friendly and the food was delicious. I highly recommend it!

First time staying here, would definitely stay here again. We love the rooms, very clean and neat. Chic! The bed was comfortable, loved the luxurious comforter and comfy pillows. Tram station is 1 min walk, easy transportation to Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and Schönbrunn Palace. Central to dining, easy walk to the Opera, St. Stephe’s Plaza.
