Need to upgrade safes. Some missing keys or broken. Keys are also inconvenient. Balcony doors need better security. First room wouldnt lock securely. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The staff was great. Very nice. I traveled with my daughter and they were so sweet in checking on us as we came went. The property needed some updates however. The lock on our balcony door was so worn that when it stormed, the wind blew it open. Balconies were connected so that was a little scary.

The staff were very friendly. The location was good. The street was noisy at night, if you had a room that faced the main street. The room was also older, it had all the things it needed, but it was old. And the balcony window wouldn't open even though we paid for a room with a balcony.

This hotel is near Bourbon Street and close to the freeway. Parking is secure and staff is friendly. The rooms smelled like mildew so much that our luggage still smelled when we got home. The bathroom had dirt caked in the corners and the carpet had a wet feeling to it. I felt the need to wear shoes the entire time in our room. The tv didn’t work. The brick wall in our room had a blackish mold across the top. We will choose a different hotel next time.

Multiple light bulbs out in the room. Stained towels and pillow cases. Smelled like wet mildew and the walls would sweat with brown water. The pool was nice and the staff were friendly. Convient part of the French quarter.

Wonderful honeymoon stay
My husband and I stayed at the Dauphine for 5 nights for our honeymoon. The location was great everything was in walking distance including the trolley stations. We stayed in one of the carriage rooms. The room was beautiful, the seawater pool was so relaxing and the right temperature. The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. Some of the staff recommended amazing restaurants nearby.

It is just one block off Bourbon street in new orleans. So everything is in walking distance. Very convenient staff was exceptionally nice and polite.

Don't leave anything behind! Wont be returned!!
The room was great and very clean. The service not so much. My issue is when we checked out. Theres no space for you to park when you check in or out. While checking out it started pouring and the courtyard holds water down the alley. Hotel staff did not try to help us whatsoever and we were blocking traffic trying to get our bags in the car so we were rushing. My son thought he grabbed everything but he left his very nice suit still in the bag lying on the bed. We didnt realize it until we got home. We tried to call the hotel for two months to see if theyd gotten it. We'd hoped they would call but that didnt happen. When we went back to New Orleans we stayed at a the Dauphin Hotel instead and walked over to ask and let them know that we had left it. The manager told us that we did not leave it. I told him that I was hoping their staff would have been honest but I should not have expected that in todays world. We left very unhappy about being told we dodnt leave the suit when we know for a fact that we did.

FORGOT to CARE in the City that CARE FORGOT
Rooms are not updated ~ New Orleans is known for a city that does not care, or that "Care Forgot" ~ Bathroom mirrors, mirrored walls lack of silvering from age ~ Jacuzzi bathtub is held together with tape ~ Two refrigerators, one falling from the cabinet ~ No microwave ~ No coffee in room ~ Rooms never serviced, despite our leaving out trash cans and towels ~ Bad locks on gate to facility and rooms, both difficult to secure and open ~ Clearly subject to crime.

Loved the short walk to bourbon. Check in was easy. Cons, the AC was lacking in the room, lamps did not have new bulbs so didn’t work. I thought my room came with a balcony based on the picture but it didn’t it came with a tiny window which I was disappointed about.
