Great hotel in Vik, perfectly located in between the mountains and sea (black sand beach). Cosy atmosphere and set-up and a very nice playroom above the restaurant.

Modern hotel. Extremely clean (and I get easily "skeeved" at hotels), really good food and helpful, friendly staff. They did give us a wake-up call, as promised, when the Aurora appeared. I would absolutely recommend this hotel - but it isn't cheap (but nothing in Iceland is). I feel it was worth the money. I didn't love Vik but it did have everything a traveler needs, in town.

Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Convenient location, easy parking and nearby dining options. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious. Hotel is clean and there is a gas station across the road which was helpful since we headed off early the next day. There is a cliff/mountain with birds nesting on it and Black Sand Beach is close by. Skool Beans Cafe is nearby and worth a visit for coffee. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The hotel staff were so nice. The hotel was srunning.I feel like at US hotels they would scrounge the beautiful scenery dining room for only the expensive, elite dinner crowd and not allow the free breakfast to take place in that same dining room just out of pretention. The free breakfast was great. Especially the smoked salmon and breads. Dinner at Rangar was also fabulous. I would stay again. They have a staff the does wake up calls for Northern Lights all night, if you would like. We missed out on our night there due to rain.

AMAZING stay at Hotel Kria, highly recommended! We loved the modern style, the comfortable room, the wonderful common area as well as games room, the convenient location, and the unbelievable breakfast. Will definitely recommend and hope to stay again upon our return to this beautiful country!
