Somewhat ok stay.
The hotel is quite outdated but, it’s good we’re comfortable. The rooms are a little tight. House keeping is per request. For our 3 days stay I have not seen anyone turn over a room. Which makes me wonder if the sheets were actually change after a guess checked out. Like I said the rooms are ok no frills. Rooms are all ocean view, receptionist were not that engaging compared to other hotels we stayed in the past.

One of the guys that worked the breakfast most mornings was fabulous!! Very friendly and entertaining one of the happiest people I’ve ever met! Other staff was also very pleasant. Overall we had a decent stay. However the bench directly in front of the hotel on the boardwalk had a group of people that literally sat there ALL day and night and some of them slept on the bench, the sidewalk, or the beach over night. Too many homeless laying around on the boardwalk.

Though this property is very dated, they did their best to clean as much as passible. They also did their best for everything from front desk to breakfast, and keeping the reception area stocked with beverages and cups.

The staff is extremely rude. When we got there we were not greeted and all she did was huff and puff. We were in the pool and a guy comes to us and say u break the rope we charging your room instead of him said can you please not have your kids hang on the rope. My kids don’t even weigh 60 pounds and yet he thought they would break the pool rope. It was 4 of us in the room and when I ask for extra shampoo and conditioner for 4 ppl we literally just got 4 for a stay that was 6 days 5 nights. Then hubby went to go ask for some shampoo the next day and he said 4 ppl in room and got 2 only. In breakfast they watch you like a hulk. It was extremely uncomfortable and unpleasant stay with staff being so rude. Definitely will not stay here again, also I was overcharged 39 bucks from the original stay price. The hallway and stair area smelled so bad like pee and was so disgusting. When there was a different staff in breakfast the guy was great the one that made his special potato’s he needs a raise. Everyone else horrible. The only good thing is the location where the hotel is steps from beach, restaurants and shopping area but I would not stay here again. Also it was very weird that this hotel had no safe in room. Which we had to secure our things in our car and hope no one would break into it.

There was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling and the shower floor where the water is sitting because the shower leaks. The door handle leading to the balcony is falling off (very loose) because of how hard the door is to open and close. The property was rated a 4 star hotel. I would give it 3 stars.

Pros: super friendly and helpful staff, on the beach, separate bedroom, larger mini fridge, parking on premises, good selection of breakfast items, clean pool, outdoor seating. Cons: many things need to be replaced (outdoor chairs missing cushions, sofa very worn, blanket old and pilled, pillows lumpy). Just felt like a tired hotel that was being propped up. Parking is TIGHT if you try to park after 10pm on a weekend. We paid $450/night and it felt like too much for the overall quality.

Birthday weekend trip
Their room was spacious enough for me and my teenage son. We were able to check in early, which was a huge plus and the breakfast and manager guy in there was amazing. I see why he had such rave reviews. I would definitely stay here again if I need to stay on the oceanfront.

Overall, our stay was good, but there were some small issues. One of the issues was our shower door didn't shut all the way even after maintenance tried to fix it, which led to our bathroom floor getting very wet anytime someone showered. For the good things, these greatly outweighed the small issues. First, the continental breakfast was amazing! Each morning, there.was eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuits, hashbrowns, pancakes, cereal, bagels, and some type of pastry (muffin one day and danish another). Not only was the food variety impressive, but the food was absolutely delicious!! Second, the view from our balcony to the beach was amazing! I had a lovely time sitting on the balcony and looking out over the waves breaking on the beach. Third, the staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered the phone quickly, provided help with the bathroom in a timely manner, and gave us more towels to help clean the water. This hotel is great for anyone wanting to stay on the beach and be near all the action on Atlantic Avenue!

The hotel is next to 24th St Park where there is live entertainment which is great, better than great if the band is singing music you like. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with my questions. Things that could use improvement is it could use more parking and the wait for the elevator is too long. I was on the 4th floor so I would use the stairs sometimes when I got tired of waiting. I was thankful I wasn’t on the 5-7 floor. Overall we LOVED our stay!
