One of the last of the maritime country estates in Nova Scotia. This attractive shingled farmhouse is set on 300 acres with miles of waterfront, acres of lawns and loads of privacy. This property epitomises luxurious simplicity with art, elegant furnishings and spectacular views from the screened porch and most windows. The drive way is over a mile long crossing two causeways as it winds through the forest with occasional glimpses of the ocean. The property has an integrated generator and reliable pure well water. WiFi is available. It comfortably sleeps four to six adults. The kitchen is functional with a fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The main bedroom is on the ground floor. It is spacious with a bay window , separate dressing room and spacious bathroom with plenty of storage and on demand hot water. There is a deep old fashioned bath, new shower and two sinks and a loo. Upstairs are two bedrooms with access to a bathroom at the foot of the staircase. This bathroom has a deep old fashioned panelled bath, a loo and a shower with a single sink. Bridgewater is twenty minutes in the other direction with all the modern amenities. I love the farm stalls , the farmers markets and the famous Ploughman's lunch. The Osprey's Nest serves the best lobster roll in the area. For a day's outing a drive to the pretty town of Shelbourne is like going back in time . The Readers Festival in Port Medway is charming and the music scene in Lunenburg at LAMP is worth the trip.
