Summary:
Come down the coast, way down south, to a little house overlooking Waratah Bay. Find the locals' track across the road, leading straight onto magic beach. From the deck, you can count the islands off the Prom, look for whales in the bay, or play scrabble all afternoon. Lay on the beach, drink wine outside by the fire, or even paddle the kayak out to sea. It’s a cosy house, with a lookout to the bay. It holds memories of magic; you might fall in love too.
The Space:
P.S. bring some gin.
This is a happy mid-century house with modern amenities.
There are two bedrooms - one with a comfortable queen sized bed (with a private ensuite) & the other with a tri bunk bed . There are also two single beds in the sunroom that double up as day beds. For sleeping, there is a pull-down screen dividing part of the sunroom from the living room for privacy.
Deck: There is a deck to the side of the house with outdoor table, chairs, umbrella and bbq - everything you need to enjoy the view of the bay and Prom!
A short 5-minute walk to the beach via a steep bush track (can you find the hidden swing?)
Otherwise a longer 15 minute walk via the road and then the path located in the Walkerville South carpark.

Guest Access:
You have use of the entire house and yard.
Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.
The Neighborhood:
The nearest town to purchase supplies is Tarwin Lower. Don’t forget to bring milk!
Unfortunately the property is not fenced and located amongst sensitive bushland and as
such it is not appropriate for pets. It is a bush setting so if you have allergies you may be
affected by hay fever.
We also ask that you take your rubbish with you. If it is open, rubbish and recycling can be
dropped off at the local waste disposal (we recommend that you check the opening times first). The Walkerville tip is also associated with a wildlife rescue so you might even meet a baby wombat or possum!
Walkerville beaches: visit the caves at second and third beach. Walk along the Limeburner’s track and visit the historic cemetery. If you want to venture further afield, go to Cape Liptrap to look at the lighthouse or Bear Gully (which is an excellent spot to look for special shells and treasures from the sea).
Getting Around:
Walkerville is a small community located along the western coastline of Waratah Bay and a short drive from the neighbouring coastal towns of Waratah Bay and Sandy Point. It is a comfortable drive from Wilsons Promontory National Park and surrounding attractions.
Other Things to Note:
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property is on tank water and septic systems.
Linen and towels are not provided for the beds, please bring your own.
Please note: there will be a call out fee if we are called out after hours. eg: losing keys
