Good comms on the phone before I arrived. Kindly suggested that I park at the secure NCP car park next door as there had been some theft recently, which was cheap enough. The room I was given had been smoked in (not the hotels fault) - the guys on the reception immediately swapped me to another room with no quibbling which was great. Hotel could do with a couple of touch ups, but it was clean and friendly and an absolute bargain compared to other options. Very good breakfast too

This hotel was a pretty good affordable option. The furnishings were a bit dated but everything was clean and spacious. The staff we encountered at reception and breakfast were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was okay for a free option, some cooked and continental options. 7-9am on weekdays. The NCP car park next door was relatively affordable, if a bit ominous looking, and we got a discount token from reception. The location was towards the edge of the town centre, so might be a little disconcerting for someone walking back late alone but we had no issues walking around later at night. Easy walking distance to restaurants, pubs and spots like Kelham Island.

My stay at the hotel OYO Metropolitan Sheffield was excellent, the complimentary breakfast was very good and the Manager was more than helpful with all aspects of my stay. would highly recommend this hotel and will staying there again in the future.

The hotel is easy to find and has a private parking offered by NCP. You also get a tiny discount from the hotel. The hotel looks basic and there is nothing special about the rooms, but we found them clean. The bed was comfortable. We felt pretty safe in the hotel. When we needed an extra towel the lady from the reception was super helpful and happy to make our stay much pleasant. The included breakfast was a typical English breakfast and it was delicious. Overall it was a normal positive experience and the Lady in Red from the reception was the one who made our check in much pleasant. Thank you.

Average hotel. Not worth the money. Paid over £160 for a deluxe DOUBLE room with breakfast for 2 people. There is no bar on site (closed during convid and never re-opened) Parking is available at the NCP car park next door at £6.95 per 24 hrs if you book directly or reduced price of £5 per 24hrs if you book via the hotel, but you can’t book through the hotel until you check in and can’t get into the car park until you get the card. For the sake of £1.95 we booked direct. The deluxe room (business class) had screw holes where the towel rail should be, chipped bath, scorch marks on the carpet from the iron, cracked window etc etc. the DOUBLE bed was 2 singles pushed together but weren’t flush so there was a gap between with only the sheet holding them together. It’s not in a very nice area, and we couldn’t get a taxi from the Utilita Arena due to them all being fully booked so walked 3 miles back to this hotel and I’ve never felt so scared. It was actually a relief to get back here! It reminded me of the first scene from the movie Ghost. We were walking down the middle of the road to keep out of the shadows! On a bright side, the breakfast was beautiful and the best mushrooms I’ve had in a long time! Lovely girl on reception but unfortunately we struggled to understand her due to a language barrier.
