Excellent hotel, friendly staff, good dining options throughout the day all in a quiet location. Our room was the Oak Room which was totally unexpected but absolutely superb, the best most lavish room we have ever stayed in. I would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting the pleasant Oxfordshire area.

We had an amazing stay. We loved the hotel and were made to feel very welcome. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The room was very comfortable with plenty of extras and a great shower.

Nice hotel. Originally an old coaching inn.Helpful and friendly staff. Food was good and reasonable selection. The room was clean and comfortable. Only downside was the public transport. Long walk for bus into Oxford which is not a car friendly city. Park and ride an option.We bussed in but got a taxi back for £30 Ish. Despite this we would recommend.

Nice hotel, staff all very helpful. If you are able to book ahead, the room prices are very reasonable. It would be nice to have the dinner menu at least changing with the seasons. Lovely quiet location at night, with no road noise although can get a little noisy from 6.30am onwards with deliveries and bin men driving over courtyard between most of the bedrooms.

Saskia (General Manager) is doing a great job at the George. I always receive a great, friendly welcome and am well looked after during my stay. The rest of the staff are great too. I continue to return here which is testament to the hotel when there are so many others I can choose from.
