DC for inauguration

Just going to say Front Desk was very hospitable. Room was regular nothing special. Pillows were not comfortable.Rooftop bar has a great view but the food there is very expensive. The beer is reasonable at both bars and we had a nice time sitting at the downstairs bar.The breakfast Bodega for two regular coffees and two bacon egg sandwiches was 36 dollars, too pricey I think. The night we had to get some food from the rooftop bar cost me 67 dollars, may have included 2 beers on that. I feel that was very overpriced.

I booked a stay at Arlo Hotel in DC through Expedia, and while the hotel has potential, my experience left much to be desired. The positives: The hotel is new, the rooms are very clean, and the design is modern and appealing. The negatives: The billing process was chaotic. I noticed several incorrect and unexplained charges. The back-and-forth communication to resolve these issues was exhausting, and while the hotel admitted errors, it shouldn’t take this much effort to get clarity. While Expedia might have contributed to some of the miscommunication, the primary issue lies with the hotel’s billing and customer service processes. The hotel might improve with time, but I can’t recommend staying here in the near future. I won’t be returning for my next trip.

The hotel had special events the entire time we were there. The restaurant was closed the entire time as well as the bar area. The room was so small you couldn’t get to the other side of the bed without climbing over the bed and the sheets had holes in them. Do NOT stay here

The staff and overall condition of the facility were excellent. The food was also quite good and reasonably priced for DC. We discovered shortly after check-in that the bathroom sink was badly clogged. We asked first thing the next morning for it to be fixed, but they never got to it. We didn't have a functioning sink during our stay, which was a huge pain in the neck. We'll give this property another chance at some point, but with some hesitation.
