Seriously dated and needs a good cleaning
Good location and spacious rooms with OK beds but wouldn’t stay again. Overpowering smell of cleaner in elevator and hallways and room, like I was living inside a Tide laundry pod (so they were covering up what smells?) Felt allergic the whole time. Seriously old and dated and worn—to the point I laid a towel down on the sofa in the room before sitting down because that sofa looked 30 years used. Lumpy pillows. Bathroom had peeling paint and wallpaper and loose fixtures and embedded dirt and dust (see photos). The hotel looks wonderful on their website but in person it’s in desperate need of a deep clean and overhaul.

Overall The property was ok I was charged a deposit fee that I haven’t got back yet of $100 plus an additional fee for what the front desk said was for the two pods of coffee, towels, and two bottles of water $69.58 total additional fee was for $169.58 which honestly is ridiculous I’m still waiting to be refunded my “deposit” fee Also after a day of walking around I got back to the room having a tub but not able to use it because only the shower worked the mist from shower was just not helping me as I had pain in my body and needed to really soak. Anyways other then that I think being upfront with additional fees and deposit should be told to people at the time of their purchase not at the time of their arrival

I'm sure this hotel was very nice in its prime, but it certainly has a dated feel. The rooms, except for the old keycard swipe locks, are more updated than the rest of the facility. However, it's in an excellent location and very walkable to to Dupont Circle and the Metro. It worked well for my needs.

Located near a busy intersection so if you are bothered by traffic noise maybe rethink staying here. Overall hotel was fine. In need of some cosmetic updates and was disappointed there was no fridge in the room, should have read that more but have just come to expect that. Over all a good place to stay for the money.

I give them credit for service since they willingly moved me after the first night, but the first night, I truly could not sleep. I don't think I've ever been in a noisier room! Sirens all night on a Friday, and then housekeeping knocking neighbor's doors in the morning. This hotel really needs sound isolation immediately -- I was on the sixth floor! Also, bed sheets felt very cheap and washed with intense chemicals. Again, nice service, but I would never stay here again.
