Surprisingly nice despite reviews. Not your standard hotel, very modern. More for long term stays I’d suggest but great either way. Beautiful pool and the rooftop view at night is amazing. It’s a ten minute walk to union station. Which is home to a multitude of quick spots to grab a bite. Right in the middle of everything. The view from the fifth floor is to die for.

We had some problems getting to where we were supposed to be due to not having access to info we weren’t sent until we had already departed on our trip. Once we got to our room, we found it an excellent place to stay. We were actually in a high-scale apartment building. The facilities were well-kept, and security was taken very seriously. The staff and the residents there were friendly and helpful. Also, it was within walking distance of Union Station, so we were able to take the Metro to where we were going each day.

Not a hotel and not a VRBO. Pretty much the worst of both worlds. Very hotel feel without all of the small things you expect from a hotel. I almost ordered a new mattress for my room after the fist night off of Amazon. Little things like no salt or pepper no coffee filters. Things you would expect from a VRBO property weren’t present. If I wanted a hotel I would have simply gotten 2 adjoining rooms. Not good for a week stay. One or two nights max.

Overall, this apt rental was really nice! Location was quiet and easily accessible for Ubers to the main attractions. Apartment was very clean and everyone, including the tenants were friendly. Only small suggestions: would have been nice to have better toiletry options, as usually people staying in an apt like this are there for many days. Washer and dryer did not have any detergent supplied.

It’s not your grandfathers hotel. Very little human communication, and the secure website for document submission was down a lot, which didn’t inspire confidence. Still, it was great to have a grocery store nearby to make it a home away from home. We got one of the beds that slopes to the middle, as I’ve seen in other reviews. The shower door wouldn’t stay closed but it didn’t make a mess. Nothing to keep us from staying there again.

This place is a scam
Horrible experience. We were on the first floor - felt like semi basement. Mattresses were horrible and one of the bed frames was broken and we couldn’t get any help from anyone. There is no one on the premises - just some numbers with operators (who knows where they are). They said they will forward our request and nobody called us or reached us. Nobody came to fix the bed. We left next day and now trying to get a refund!

The property is brand new and very modern.Close to Union Station and Metro. No neighborhood coffe shops or restaurants. There were computer problems on check in and no direcction on what to do to get in or where to go. There were 5 of us and they did not provide proper bedding for fold out couch. Not ienough chairs to relax in..only couch and hard table chairs. No information provided if help is needed or for simple things like where to take the trash.

The hotel itself is nice. When we arrived the guy at the desk seemed too busy to deal with all kinds of things but us. I appreciated the dish detergent, the laundry detergent, paper towel. However, the beds were not comfortable, the smell of the toiletries was not great. I left my luggage in the storage room and the lady was on her lunch break and said that she did not have to help me since it was her break that it was the Churchill and not the Revel or something like that. Something needs to be done about the people working at the front desk.

The actual apartment was great!!! Very spacious and clean and perfect! The people running Global Luxury Suites are absolutely unbearable!!!! They contacted us no less than 10 times in the month prior to our stay. They asked for license and credit card info. Then pics of both. Then more pics. Then more info. Then signatures. We were sick of these people before we ever even left for the trip. The day we were scheduled to check in to 2 rooms, we were touring Jamestown. If you’ve ever been there, you know there is absolutely no cell service. When we are an hour from check in, we notice an email that says credit card declined and one of therefore no code to check into one of the rooms (we already had code for the other room). We had to call numerous times to finally get in touch with someone to help us. He told us the card wasn’t declined and gave us the code…so strange. Also-it’s impossible to swim in the pool. They don’t want you there. It’s lots of young professionals that live in the building and are hanging out by the pool. Not in the pool. The lifeguard made us go get a pass for the pool which took about 30 min. Then when we finally got the kids in the pool, the lifeguard said he was going to have a dinner break in 20 minutes and everyone would have to get out. One last issue is parking. The parking garage feels like it’s 6 miles from the apartment. It’s an absolute ordeal to load and unload anything from the car. Overall-apartment is 5 star-accommodations are 0!

Our room was impeccable clean, we everything you need, however this is not a Hotel with a crew taking care of changing the towel, sheets, etc, fir long stay you need to take care of this. We had a lovely stay and found the apartment to be spacious and well equipped. The pool is lovely and you can get in just using the main entrance/lift code so the pass isn’t strictly necessary. There wasn’t a blanket for the sofa bed upon arrival but this was easily remedied by going to the office on the third floor. Just in case it’s helpful for others: don’t use the entrance next to the Marriott. The entrance is on 1st Street next to the 1000K apartments (so close to the 1st/K interchange). Easy walk to Union where you can get the circulator bus which is only $1 a ride of up to 2 hours. A beautiful city with so much to do and NoMa felt like a safe, clean neighbourhood.
