The only negative issue we experienced was that the insulation for noise is lacking and people coming & going in the hallway at all hours was disruptive to our activities in the room ( talking, sleeping etc). New hotel, so everything looks nice. The room is huge, including the bathroom. But it really lacks in closet space. The staff are very friendly! Oddly, the safe is on a shelf so low you literally have to lie on the floor to use it!

what a pleasant surprise, I loved the spaciousness of my room the quiet heater and fridge and the French restaurant was the cherry on top. I had a rare drink called, "At Last" that was crafted on the next level and the mixogist, Maria, shared the 3 day process that went into my drink. The Sonesta is on my list of hotels to stay at when I travel to DC.

A very nice hotel in a great area if you want to visit the Capitol, Smithsonian, etc... The restaurant is outstanding and fairly priced. The restaurant staff and management were outstanding. The hotel was very clean, the rooms large and housekeeping was great. Some of the staff did not understand English well and could not assist with local directions.

This hotel was top notch. The room is aesthetically pleasing and looks exactly like the photos online. (We stayed in the 1bdrm king capitol city view). Very clean, quiet and super comfy bed. Gym was solid-had 4 peloton bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, TRX straps and dumbbells. Only thing missing was some strength machines. The staff was extremely friendly and pleasant in every aspect. There was not one time I crossed paths with staff and they did not greet with a smile, hello or a simple how are you?! Restaurant attached had great options and again, staff was very welcoming. We canceled an earlier reservation at another hotel which was a nightmare experience and switched to Royal Sonesta Capitol Hill and we are SO glad we did! 10/10 experience and would highly recommend.
