Look no further, your search for the perfect DC vacation spot is complete! After top-to-bottom renovation in the 1990’s- and then another in May 2017-this separate 2 bedroom historic space on Mass Ave NE originally built in the 1880’s offers everything on your list of must-haves: historic charm, modern comfort, and an extremely convenient location in the heart of Historic Capitol Hill, next to Stanton Park, blocks from the Senate, Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, shops, restaurants, and Whole Foods.

Located on the street level comfortably sleeps 6 adults with 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Space is about 1,000 square feet, a King Bed in the master suite, new queen bed in 2nd bedroom; a modern and fully equipped kitchen; large glass dining room table; and a LED HDTV TV with high-speed wireless internet. 2 outdoor spaces

Its location is within walking distance of everything you need and want to see: the National Mall, Whole Foods, H Street, Trader Joe’s and Lincoln Park, but there are also two Metro stops within a 10 minute walk (Eastern Market and Union Station) and several bus stops within a block. I highly recommend the bus tours that run out of Union Station as well.

Our neighborhood is quiet and residential, home to Members of Congress and their families, yet only blocks away from the city’s political epicenter and a multitude of restaurants, bars, coffee-houses and shopping, everything DC has to offer will be at your doorstep!

PARKING: On-street parking requires a zoned parking permit, which is provided free of charge for guests to park one vehicle during their stay upon request. Parking for additional vehicles is available less than 4 blocks away at a 24-hour access surface lot for around $15 per day. PLEASE REQUEST PARKING PASS WHEN MAKING YOUR RESERVATION.

Fantastic Property - Perfect Stay
This property is perfect for my family as the teens can walk to all the various sights and restaurants. Ubers are plentiful and the restaurants are very family friendly and fun talking to staff.

Loved the location and the supplies in the apartment (kitchen supplies, towels, extra bedding). I was pleasantly surprised to see a washer & dryer- I just wish it was in the listing so we would've known to bring fewer clothes. The beds were also very high compared to the photo, and we're short so it was a struggle to climb up into bed. My kids also had trouble getting into bed until they figured out how to climb the frame. I would still give this rental 5 stars easily. Also we would happily go back again and recommend it to others!

Fair price/value for space. Comfortable mattresses, Good heating and cooling, adequate supply cookware and dishware. Walking distance to Union Station (15 minutes). Good hot shower. Much wear/tear on interior (broken ceramic floor tiles, chipped/peeling paint, needs weather stripping at door/living room windows. Discovered on last night one front window without lock. Secure bars on window but found Allen wrench to secure into a hole and prevent opening window thru bars. Manager made aware before departing. One front door glass pane replaced (next to dead bolt and door chain) made me realize I had no way until address received to search any crime history at address. Would NOT stay here again. Mych

We really enjoyed our stay. Very cool historic home, fabulous neighborhood. Within walking distance to restaurants. TV didn’t work well and the beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. This place would be perfect with those two fixes!

We were 3 sisters and 1 daughter ranging in age from 54 to 79. Our stay at 607B was memorable. Accommodations were lovely. We all slept well in the comfortable beds. Our evenings were spent outside on the front patio or the backyard sitting are and in the cozy sitting area inside. Everything was clean and in working order. The owner was very responsive and checked on us to see if we needed anything. This historic apartment was perfect for our stay in DC. We have recommended it to other relatives. The location was wonderful. We arrived at Union Station and walked to the apartment through a lovely, historic area of DC. We spent each day walking - to the Supreme Court, Capitol, White House, war memorials, Lincoln Memorial, Library of Congress. Georgetown was a quick ride from the apartment and the Riverfront area was intriguing and the water taxi a must. We look forward to staying here again when we return to DC.

Great place! Great host!
This place was incredible! It is a very well kept unit with all the amenities. We were five people with two adults, two teenagers and a six year old and there was still a lot of space to relax. Eric was very helpful and kept in touch during our staying through the Vrbo email to make sure everything was fine and if we needed anything. Eric was very quick to respond to any questions. He helped me with the parking pass situation because of my technology deficiencies. Parking is on the street but street traffic is light and I felt that my car was safe. The location is great. You are only a few blocks from the U.S. Capital, Union Station, Supreme Court etc. It is an easy walk. You can catch the guided tour on Old Town tour bus at Union Station to take you to all of the places if you do not feel like walking. I am a very loyal Marriott customer but this place is an even better value because you get the local experience of staying in an historic building with the different parks, restaurants and sites nearby. The locals were very friendly to us. We are planning to come back to D.C. hopefully next year and I am going to plan ahead so we can stay here again. Thank you Eric!!!

We loved our stay in DC
We stayed in 2 od the owner's apartments for our DC trip due to a maintenance issue. It involved us having to move during our trip but it really wasn't inconvenient at all. We were so grateful that Eric was able to handle the very last minute and unexpected situation so easily and both of the apartments worked out well for us. The Capitol Hill neighborhood had everything we needed and is so convenient to many of the popular places to visit in the city. We also took advantage of the parking pass and didn't have any issues finding a parking space during our stay.

Worst Vrbo stay EVER
We arrived the place was a ground floor apartment which is fine we sat on the couch and suddenly a RAT jumped on the window! My mother in law in her 70’s screamed! The garage bins were next to the window so a rat that I later found out was living in the bushes must have been chilling in the bins. I contacted the host and NO response. After 4 hours I contacted VRBO that was also unable to contact the host. We booked a hotel and left. Now I’m fighting with VRBO to get my money back since the host is not responding at all. VRBO should be more helpful. The money for the booking should be placed in an escrow and released to the owner once the stay is complete. This is ridiculous! I paid so much.
