I recently stayed at Aspen Village Inn in Watertown and had a mixed experience. The room was comfortable, but I noticed a lack of electrical outlets, which was inconvenient. If you're on the first floor, be aware that you might hear footsteps from the room above. We also had an odd situation with hot water. When we first asked the front desk about it, we were told they didn’t have any. However, when we called again and requested a kettle, we were informed that a kettle was indeed available. It would have been helpful if the front desk had offered this solution initially. Instead of a kettle, we received cups of hot water first, and the kettle was brought to us a few minutes later. Overall, it was a somewhat confusing experience, but the staff were friendly.

Great location. Room was dated but clean. No air conditioning. Shower head could be changed to a higher pressure head. Toilet was really low. Seemed like a kids toilet. LOL. All in all good place to stay.

It got the job done. The room was basic and older but we didn’t expect much. We travelled in July and the lack of AC was noticeable even with the room fan provided. The sheets, towels, and bathroom were clean. Just very basic and not much too elevated beyond that. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful.

Location is wonderful, parking right in front of room. Walking to restaurants and hiking along water front is great. The outside needs attention which makes it average to us. Give me a weed wacker and a blower and I could have it looking nice in under an hour.

I'll summarize my husband's review on Google: Aspen Village is sorely under staffed within the cleaning crew. For people who have spent a long time on the road, who are tired and want to lay on a bed for a short while to recover, when the check-in time says 4pm it should be at that time and not nearly two hours later. On maintenance, when I walked the grounds of this motel's sister company Waterton Lakes Lodge, I noticed a broken down washing machine outside a maintenance building. What was telling to me is that washer didn't look like a heavy duty machine that hotels normally use to disinfect their towels and sheets, rather a unit used in family homes. Further, if I could title this review it would read "Lipstick On a Pig," because on the surface this place looks like it was recently renovated. These renovations are only surface measures. When we entered our room and checked for cleanliness, the floor around the toilet smelled like urine. With flooring such as engineered hardwood or vinyl fake wood in washrooms, there is no water resistant protection like when ceramic tile is used and moisture of any kind can seep through the seams and sits underneath. If one looks at the ceiling of unit #1 where we stayed, there is a water stain on the ceiling where the room above likely had water on the floor. I will add that I was offended by a sticker they had at the front desk which suggested that if you think you can do a better you, they are accepting applications. Not worth your $

This Inn had a wonderful mountain cottage feel to it, and it is in the middle of fabulous mountain views. I give it a 3 because it isn't a modern posh hotel with all the amenities that personally, I don't want anyway. I give it a 3 because I don't want to distort the view of moderns who want the glitz. Personally, I don't want that in this setting. There is no AC in the room, but it isn't needed. For us, it was a perfect mountain cottage.
