Everything about the Mystic Isle Motel is perfection. It is VERY clean. The rooms are contemporary while honouring the natural beauty of the area. The outdoor space is immaculate, with many spaces to enjoy the outdoor space and the breath taking views of Lake Superior.

We lost power in our unit at 5 am. No one else lost power. We still have not recieved a response from the front desk. Still no power. Let alone an apology or explanation. Good luck getting anyone to respond. All you get is an automated voice message. For the price of this unit, the service is terrible.

Travelled here with a group of motorcycles. Good: the room is a reasonable size and the beds are comfortable. Overall, pretty good. Check in was reasonably efficient. The male owner was curt, but polite. Bad: the water in the room is not drinkable and a boil only sign is posted. They supply a water jug in another area, but if you have nothing to put it in, it’s useless. Or you can buy a bottle Water for what an entire case costs. This is something that should be disclosed well ahead of time and at the very least , each room should have a clean water dispenser with cups. The following morning, we wiped the dew off our motorcycles using one of the bath towels. While it was wet, I don’t believe it was dirty. I was called later in the day, yelled at by the female owner and then charged $75 for the towel. Whether I was right or wrong to use the towel is up for debate but in any event, her attitude was not warranted. In the end, I told her to set the towel aside and offer it to other motorcycles that may stay there in the future. I of course received a sarcastic answer and that was the end of the conversation. So in the end, don’t drink the water and don’t use the towel.

Very clean ,amenities excellent.Downside outside door did not shut properly,and rusty water came out of hot water tap in bathroom sink,However did run clear after a couple of mins.Felt our welcome at reception could have been a little more gracious
