Loved our two nights stay in room 368. Great size and best breakfast. The food was well presented, good quality ingredients and much better that other hotels we’ve stayed at. The pool was beautifully heated, nice sauna and jacuzzi. Gym was well stocked. Will definitely be back.

For the money it was good but the room felt along way fro reception and facilities when we stayed before they offered us a room a bit nearer to the center but this time when we asked we were told you only paid for a standard room …. not sure what difference it makes if they had standard rooms nearer and they were not at all busy 💁‍♀️so wasn’t impressed with her lack of co operation

Could do with a refurb
I’ve stayed here regularly over the last year due to it being near my office. It’s more for convenience than anything else. The hotel is quite tired now and 9/10 I’ve been put in the older rooms on the lower floor furthest away from reception. The rooms on the ground floor and first floor I understand to be better, but the whole place could be doing with refurbishment. Food in the bar is nice and service has always been good.

Hotel has room for improvement.
Room was not clean, drab and in need of a refit. Litter on floor and bath dirty. Breakfast was poor quality. Served as a buffet many items were cold or lukewarm. Eggs were like rubber, not fresh. Kitchen assistant refused request for poached egg. Would not stay her again. Certainly not 4 star and only 3 star at a pinch! Price charged was reasonable.

Reception staff was pleasant but unable to organise late check out for me. Instead l was advised to wake up in the morning and come to Reception to organise late check out with day staff. This did not serve the purpose as the idea was to rest uninterrupted. Bed side cabinets were dusty. Curtains in room did not close properly allowing light to come in and disturbance to my sleep.

I was freezing the room was cold with no heating. I did say at reception when checking out and was told I should have asked for a portable heater. I was attending a very late event in daventry. It was 2.30 am when I returned too late to ask so just got into bed luckily I was solo so I could use the bedding from the next bed. Overall I was very disappointed and very unlikely to return which is a shame as a lot of my friends were there also so another time will probably look for alternative accommodation.
